What a wonderful collection, thanks for sharing. There seems to be a kind if beauty in old things that we have lost. So lovely to see handwritten letters, cast wallets etc.

Unbelievable! What a treasure. And the horn. That was something totally new to me. I've made my share of Powder horns but a horn for bait I've never heard of.

Fabulous. I don't see a box full of synthetic horrors having the same value in 50 years.

      Depends on the synthetic material.
I have some vintage needlepoint wool worth upwards of $10 a skein some times.

@@HunterAnsorge-ok9jk yes I get your point also Chadwicks 477 for the killer bug. I was alluding to the likes of Fritz, silly legs and all the other shiny stuff. Not to say I don't use some of this in moderation but for me fur and feather trumps everything. And it still works because no one told the fish. That's the beauty of the sport as long as it's within the rules each of us can carve our own path 🎣

      Yes ,and no wild birds

@@barnfieldfishingI think you would be hard pressed to tie classic spiders or many other fly patterns both old and new without wild bird plumage . Sure nothing illegal should be used or acquired, those days are hopefully gone.
