@@tkctkc5805 it depends on the specific definition of human. if you consider it to be genus homo, they have recently found remains of h. naledi in south africa that are over 200,000 years old. the oldest homo sapiens fossils are a bit older, and were found in ethiopia. the jury is still out on the origin of homo sapiens, as we continue to find interesting archaic possible sapiens fossils in places like morocco, which are around 300k years old. but it's disputed whether these are h. sapiens or another species. it's starting to seem that there were several points of origin with cross-breeding events, so the definition of our species is even up for debate. a lot has changed since I got my degree in anthropology about 20 years ago.
