    I always felt that KMC is for double sleeving a card,thats why its perfect fit

  • @allnovieveryday

    My same experience with KMC - not wide enough even for gaming cards. Dragon shield inner sleeves fit perfectly however. Their clear deck protector is just as good quality too, I use both on any gaming cards.

    Dragon Shield's Sealable Sleeves are the objectively best choice. The sleeves get sealed so no dirt and dust gets in, which means that there's no need to double sleeve. And even if you do double sleeve, there's no longer any change of dust and dirt getting inside the inner sleeve, as it's completely sealed. Also, since you don't need to double sleeve, there is less plastic blurring the artwork while the cards are in a binder. All in all, the absolutely best choice.

      I have Dragon Shield's sealable sleeves and they are awesome. I'm wondering if it would be an appropriate option to use to send in for grading?

    • @brianp6859
      @brianp6859 Před rokem

      @@r3ganomicz815 Yeah this was my question as well as i've pretty much switched to the dragon shield sealables for my binders and hit cards. Bulk/play sets just get the penny sleeve treatment until i use them in a game in which case they get swapped to dragon shield sealables for double sleeving in dragon shield double mattes. But yeah for grading i was wondering if they were and acceptable sleeve to use or if they're too perfect fit and they might not want to struggle removing the card over at PSA, BGC, or CGC.

      Unfortunately sealed sleeve sometime do damage on your card. If your album is full and heavy, it might leave a press mark on your card.

    I've stopped using any perfect fit sleeves for my more valuable cards. I have notice that they do damage the corners of my Pokémon cards. It rarely happens but prefect fit sleeves sometimes scrap the corners as you insert them and leave a small whitening. Good bye PSA 10, hello PSA 9. I would guess I've sleeved about 1000 cards with perfect fit sleeves and have notice it damaging my cards about 5 times. So it's rare, but I'm no longer risking it.

    like what MJ mentioned, you should use two fingers(index) to push downwards.

  • @HumanPanda

    KMC is still the best IMO, maybe because I mainly used them for double sleeves for building decks
    but the best sleeves are prob those from ETB got tons of them from Shining fates 😂

  • @Rabiiid
    @Rabiiid Před 2 lety

    Are you taking the cards in and out and in and out of the sleeves or what? Im gonna use KMC perfect then maybe double sleeve with ultra Pros. Ive heard theres a double sleeve just barely like 1mm wider for the perfect sleave and then store for quite a while in the premium dex binder .

  • @liongtingtong
    @liongtingtong Před 2 lety +8

    I have been using kmc to keep my priced cards. The beauty of perfect fit (soft & hard) is to double sleeve which protect the card 360. (See back of kmc packaging)
    Eg using kmc perfect fit bottomloading, then toploading with standard sized sleeve for added protection.
    Hard perfect sleeve is my preference to keep trainer FA as it provide better rigidity and semi laminate protection.
    Both are priced the same, but with rigidity come the thickness.
    As for pokemon sleeve from etb, they are just decent protection. They are much more catered towards playing hence the matte finish. but pale in comparison to dragonshield, ultrapro matte, and katana sleeve.

    Which sleeves are the most rigid ones ? I need rigid ones because I have the normal ultra pro sleeves and then a toploader but my cards keep on curving

  • @ShutoStriker
    @ShutoStriker Před 4 měsíci

    From what I've seen, those thicker hazy looking sleeves near the end might be made of PVC (not good). They also tend to have rough outer edges, like if you had a stack of cards sleeved in your hand they'd feel like sand paper edges.

  • @yongchuen
    @yongchuen Před 2 lety +4

    Does anybody know if the Aegis sleeve is thin enough to be used as first layer and then fitted into the ultra pro sleeve for double protection?

    • @LilView
      @LilView Před rokem

      If you did that, I would put the tightest sleeve on the card upside down, into the ultra pro and then into the top loader. That way you have the card completely sealed off to keep dirt out

  • @rchrd3353
    @rchrd3353 Před 2 lety +9

    ultra pro are good enough and the cheapest. i see no need for anything more expensive. i could use that money towards more cards instead :) . i don't like perfect fit due to the increased risk of damage by inserting/removing etc. but even if i did like them, i see no need to spend extra for them when ultra pro work just fine for toploaders and side loading binders. if you double sleeve or use ultra pro magnetic then perfect fit is needed, but i don't. if you play with your cards instead of collect, then something like dragon shield matte definitely has benefits

    • @brianp6859
      @brianp6859 Před rokem

      Yeah i use dragon shield sealable perfect fits inside their double matte sleeves when i play. I've been using the perfect fit sealables for my binders as well which have been awesome. My only question is when i comes to grading if they'd have an issue with the perfect fit sealables or not. However i also must note that unlike some perfect fits that you really have to push to get the card into the dragon shield sealables really let the card slide in nicely with very little force. I don't know how they manage this but it must be some tight quality control to get that consistently.

    you should try dragon shield clear. based on your preference on the allowance.

      not to be rude brother, but with any hobby there are always elitist's that needs to have the most expensive because its the best.. that is far from the truth. spend the extra cash on cards not on expensive sleeves. you just heard if from this man that ultra pro does everything you need and its affordable.. it just doesnt make sense to spend more. i get 1k of vaultx soft sleeves from amazon for 15 bucks. and the sleeves are awesome. i aint paying 7 dollars for 100 sleeves lol ill go through that in 10 min.

    People that are complaining about perfect fits don’t know how to use them. I get that the sleeves do do damage to corners sometimes but I also realized there is a way to insert them and take them out. The way he took the card out and put it in was the wrooooooooooooong way. You can tell he doesn’t have experience with them. To me they are the best sleeves to use.
