Hi Misty - Great tutorial. Just a quick tip - when making a pocket out of vinyl, I go ahead and iron my binding and then slip the vinyl in between the openings and then stitch the pocket. You only have to stitch the vinyl once and you don’t sew directly on the vinyl. Just thought I would share that with you. It does make working with vinyl much easier. Perfect bag for anywhere that requires see through bags. Thanks.

I little tip. Using a walking foot makes your bag sew together better. Also when you turn your bag. Heat up your ironing board with the iron. Then put the I vinyl down on the heated board. Will make it a little easier for turning. I have made many many vinyl bags. I think your doing a great job on your projects.

Before you plan on taking it to an event, you might want to check the venue's clear bag policy. According to the pattern, finished size is 10 1/2"x5"x15". The size limitation I'm most familiar with is 12"x6"x12".

For the number of times that I’m likely to sew vinyl would a Teflon foot be worth it? I’ve just put tissue paper between the foot plate and the vinyl for other things I’ve done. It tears off easily. Maybe I’ll need to sandwich the vinyl between 2 pieces of tissue paper for this project? I think that would work.

Nice tutorial. When working with vinyl if you will put some paper under the plastic part it will move much nicer through your machine. You could even use paper towels underneath the vinyl next to the sewing area and it will keep it from sticking to your machine bed. That is one of the reasons when you buy vinyl it has paper wrapped around it
