Funny how certain fans wouldnt take players like toney yet justify players such as jorginho and havertz being at this club 💀
I feel like that’s pretty rare to see that opinion from the same person.
I would defend Jorginho and Nketiah as 3rd backups at best. Tbf I haven't seen Ivan Toney play, but just based on his reputation, he doesn't sound like he's a world class striker. Arsenal needs a world class striker, or at least have that potential.
@@jesuisahmednbut, there isn’t many world class strikers around. Toney is top draw he has everything. If we are talking about closing the gap the reality is Arsenal need another 3-4 players.
Ivan Toney is top draw. Get him into the team. He is better than Nketiah and Jesus
@@TJTOPBOYI don't agree that we need 3 or 4 players. 1 or 2 in key positions will do. An option that helps us rotate saka out sometimes, maybe toney is that guy with Jesus going to the wing and maybe a young midfield player
Tom canton has no clue.
'Gap with Man City'? I'd worry about the gap with the others clubs between you and them first.
Did Tom say Arsenal are 4th favourites for the Champions League and suggest they might sign Mbappe? Surely I misheard, right?
They will win nothing this season! The die has been cast! Even Arteta may be looking at his job prospects come January!
Just shows how clueless some of our fans are. Mbappe 😂😂😂 Why would he join to play with Eddie 😂 And at the same time the clown said Toney is no upgrade when we wasted 65 mio and 280k a week on Havertz and 100k a week on useless Nketiah who’s a championship striker at best
100% with you on that bro!@@orientalboy86
Wash your ears out. He didn't say we might sign Mbappe. He said we should try to sign him.
That's not the same thing
We are not looking for a striker to close the gap to City, We are looking for a striker that will help keep us in the top 4. If we do nothing until the summer, there is a good chance we fall beIow 4th. Arteta seems to have done his best to destablise the club to the point where we look very vulnerable.
After that disgusting lazy performance by Eddie against Totnumb I never want to see him in an Arsenal kit again. he spet 100 minutes jogging around doing F all in the biggest rivalry game of the season. how he stated on for more than 30 minutes is another topic all by itself.
What? The strikers we already have finished 2nd last season. What you said makes no sense. Also, you just want to finish in the top 4? Interesting...
Should have bought Raheem sterling instead of Kai
@@amelaridi2376 Nope. Sterling is washed
Nketiah has been hyped into ridiculous!
@@senianns9522 Nobody hyped him. You man are just haters
Who Farted 😂😂😂😂😂 💨 but yeah need Toney looking at the here and right now totally agree
OK WHO CAN ARSENAL REALISTICALLY SIGN BETTER THAN TONEY???
So we should sign Toney because we think we can't get better? That's settling
@@franklingoodwin So we 'should not sign anyone' as opposed to someone who would make us better?
@@Invinciblez18 How much better would he make us is the question to ask. Is Toney going to be the difference between winning the league or not? If not, he's just taking Eddie's place on the bench. I'm not sure we should be signing players just because Eddie isn't rated. We should be spelling Nketiah and using that money to get a striker that can help win us the league
@@franklingoodwin who else can you get though? Especially as we need a striker NOW. (January earliest). Toney is prem proven and bagging goals in weaker team and also fits the profile of the 'plan B' we have been crying out for. You dont think he'll score goals with the creativity we would put around him?
@@Invinciblez18 I don't think he'd score enough goals to win us the league. And surely that's the goal. Toney scored 20 goals last season , but that's the only time in his career he's done so. So he's not proven
The Fartgate clip ! 😂
6:01 who let one go? 💀
Funny how some fans say they don't have an agenda against Toney then literally dismiss him without offering any viable alternative
He literally did. Now who has the agenda? lol
Toms ball knowledge worries me as he has a fan following (fair as he has built it). Has Tom watched Tony…has Tom watched Napoli?
Tom came in this debate with bias already, he has been vocal that he doesn't want Toney at Arsenal for non football reasons i.e gambling and talking down on his team, so he has always said he doesn't want him. I guess now he is justifying with the "we need better" argument
Have you watched him at Napoli? If you had you'd have seen Oshimen score 26 goals in Serie A last season. What even is your comment?
@@SFP0181 Why are you spamming the same comment? It's kind of weird
@@franklingoodwinwhat did he do before that? And what is he doing this season ? One good season suddenly he’s a player ?
@@franklingoodwin it’s true!!! Have you watched tom’s channel 🥴 he clearly mentioned that he doesn’t like Toney because of the tweet and the gambling scandal.
The question should've then been "who would you buy then Tom"
So glad this is being spoke about. I want better than Toney.
not that many strikers
Who? Osimhen? 150 mio at least
@@orientalboy86 yes great, not my money.
Osihmen is having a poor season so far
@kabelomaragelo2745 so is eddie nketiah.
Think Tom is being a bit harsh on Toney. Not only he would score goals, but the mayhem he causes in the area would assist other players with goals.
Nketiah causes "mayhem" and he's rubbish too.
Tom came in this debate with bias already, he has been vocal that he doesn't want Toney at Arsenal for non football reasons i.e gambling and talking down on his team, so he has always said he doesn't want him. I guess now he is justifying with the "we need better" argument With
@@SirAntoniousBlock Scoring 20 goals and you say rubbish 😂 Did Jesus ever score 20 league goals? He used to play for the best team that creates tons of chances and yet he didn’t score 20. Toney did it with an average team
@@orientalboy86 Yeah a lot of them were penalties and Toney was their main attacking threat and most of their opponents attacked Brentford.
This is the exact opposite to the situation Jesus faces, he doesn't take our penalties he is not our only attacking threat and most of our opponents sit in a low block (plus Jesus was injured most of last season.)
So you see your comparison is false and your cartoon laughie make you look stupid.
double standard.... Tom open your eyes and watch out the "quality" of players we are having right now.
Level will be raised with Toney he scored 20 goals in a Brentford team. I believe with our players around him creating he will make a massive difference. We can even make a deal with Brentford involving Eddie as well. Toney is prem proven we need someone that can make an instant impression in Jan. Osimhen yes is proven in Italian league whos to say he will be good over here and he will be like £130M plus no doubt and more likely to go in the summer same applies with Vlahovic. I think we need someone in Jan 100% and Toney has a proven ability in the league to make a difference and is a threat for opposition. We wanted Mudryk but went for Trossard for like £30M quarter of the price and what an impact he’s made and has Mudryk made the impact yet and we are nearly in October 10 months later!
How many non penalty goals did he score?
@@franklingoodwinare pen goals not goals, do they not count? If he has 5 or 6 pens it means we have a good pen taker as well and we need that too😂😂
@@SFP0181 They count up until a certain point. You buy strikers for the goals they score from open play for the most part unless they're good in the air. Anyone can stat pad with 10 penalties a year and end up with 15 goals +
@@franklingoodwin As if pens were not important 😂 Saka‘s numbers wouldn’t be great either if you take away the penalties. It’s mind blowing how some of you talk about Toney as if he was the worst player out there when we have absolute trash in Eddie and a very wasteful Jesus up front.
@@orientalboy86 Saka scored 4 maximum pens last season and isn't a striker. What kind of reply is that? lol
I want better as well but there really aren't many strikers around at the moment.
Not at all
Won't take Tony but accept Nketia. Silly arrogance.
He doesn't rate Eddie. Silly ignorance
Tom came in this debate with bias already, he has been vocal that he doesn't want Toney at Arsenal for non football reasons i.e gambling and talking down on his team, so he has always said he doesn't want him. I guess now he is justifying with the "we need better" argument. And 60mil ain't much considering we wasted 65 on Kai
So you're OK with us wasting more money? We're not Man City or Chelsea. The weird mental gymnastics some of our fanbase do to justify buying players they rate is weird
@@franklingoodwin Toney is proven whereas Havertz has been shocking at Chelsea and Chelsea was very happy to let him go and that says it all.
@@franklingoodwin first of all, I don't think getting Toney is a waste of money, secondly 60mil ain't that much for a top striker, he may not be world class but he's top. Third, Romano just posted a video saying Napoli refused 150mil+ for Osimen in the last window, you think they will sell him for less? Also do you think we have enough money to spent close to 200mil for 1 person? Lastly, why has Tom never said anything about getting "better" in other positions when we bought Viera, Kai, Trossard, resigned Nelson, Martin, the list goes on. Why is it all of a sudden only Toney. Are you saying we need better quality only at striker but not in other places? 🤔
vlahavic is a better deal for the price
@@SFP0181 Napoli will sell him for less than £150 million, yes. You clearly haven't seen the recent developments between him and the club and the way he's been disrespected. He's definitely leaving by the summer and clubs now know he's desperate to leave. Could probably get him for £100m in the summer
Tom is gonna trigger a lot of people with this take. I agree though. We shouldn't be trying to replace Nketiah, we should have be bringing in a striker that makes Gabriel Jesus second choice like he was at Man City. I'm not sure Ivan Toney does that
I agree about the Jesus take....but not the ivan toney take.....WE CAN DO BETTER THAN TONEY....
@@lawrencehutchinson5673 So give us a name of a striker who’s available and better than Toney and Jesus? Toney can at least bully defenders and play with his back to goal which adds another dimension to our attack and makes us less predictable. He’s also good in the air and more clinical than our strikers
@@orientalboy86 bullshit !
Jesus isn’t clinical and never ever managed to score 20 goals not even for city where he was surrounded by elite players and got tons of chances put on a plate plus he’s extremely injury prone and therefore not reliable. And don’t get me started on Nketiah, the guy is a waste of space. Toney adds another dimension, a plan B with his physicality and defenders hate playing against him. I remember how he bullied our defenders when we drew against them last season, he absolutely bullied and destroyed our defense with his physicality and scored as well. Neither Eddie nor Jesus could do that.
Get Toney we need goals we can't rely on Nketiah and Jesus for the goals .
Toney is average
This is exactly what our fanbase is TOM What are u smoking 😂😂 he jst said he doesnt want Toney bcos he is worried there will be a Kai situation again Fools this is exactly y we are 20yrs without a PL
I don't want Toney neither but Arsenal won't be able to afford the likes of Oshimen and Mbappe even if we wanted to. 1) We haven't won anything to have put us back on the Map properly for them to be seriously interested and 2) ain't no way we're paying £120-150m for either of them, that's just facts 🤷🏽♂️ Hopefully we can get someone else, I think Jonathan Davies could do a really good job for half the price
We need osimhen. A player that will strike true fear into opponents.
We then need a true titan of a box to box midfield LIKE FDJ. Obvs doubt Barca sell him but someone like that profile.
Then true competition for saliba like diomande.
I can smell fillet of fish 😂💥💢🗯🌬🩲💩
Vlahovic hand Toney would be great
The only strikers out there that make the difference for Arsenal tipping city are an Mbappé or Osimhen… witch wouldn’t ever happen
Haha Tom Canton thinks a guy that was only behind Kane and Haaland in the scoring last season, in a team like Brentford. Then he bleats about fecking Oshimen whos mad overrated. Hipsters will be hipsters, He's English playing for an unglamorous team so Tom doesnt rate him. 😂
Oshimen scored 26 goals last season. Football hipsters? WTF are you talking about? Oshimen is one of the top rated strikers in Europe and has played in the Champions League. Toney has not. I'm sorry if knowing about players and football makes you a "football hipster". Oshimrb has much better numbers than Toney. It's not even close. You embarrassed yourself here
Toney scored 20, in a stronger league and a poorer team than Napoli. Whats your point? So by your logic a player from Crevena Zvedsa is better than Toney because they play in the "champions league" 🤡. Well the numbers are close and he' playing in a better league. @@franklingoodwin
@@alid8646 You really tried comparing Serie A with a farmers league. You're an actual clown. Did you forget Napolj played in the Champions League last season. Did Brentford? Of course they didn't. Hush with all this "20 goals in a stronger league" nonsense. How many penalties did Toney score last season. Toney literally scored only 3 more goals from open play than Jesus who missed 3 months of the season lol. And Toney has only once scored 20+ a season. Oshimen has a far superior goal record than Toney. It's not even close
He’s clueless mate. Jesus used to play for City and you don’t get better chances and teammates than at city and yet he never managed to score 20 goals but he’s somehow good enough according to them 😂 He’s terrible in front of goal and he wasted so many glorious chances already since joining including the sitter against Spurs. Plus his injury record is terrible as well. Don’t get me started on Nketiah, they guy should be playing in a relegation fighting team or the championship, he’s a waste of space. Toney is PL proven and bullied defenders.
@@franklingoodwinRemember Shevchenko? He was an elite striker and ballon d’or winner in 2003/2004 and lightyears ahead of Osimhen now and he came to Chelsea for big money and flopped. Doing it in Italy doesn’t mean you’ll do it in England. Toney is far cheaper and PL proven so not as much of a risk and gamble. Look what happened to Pepe. Was rated all around Europe, Bayern was close to signing him before we came in. Who guarantees you that Osimhen will hit the ground running? Could be another Pepe 2.0
Could not agree more. We wasted 65m and an international spot in the roster for Havertz. It's clear.
Benjamin sesko in January.....
Anything over 50mil we go oshimen
Arsenal don't want buy him he's trouble with a big T
Terrible take. I've Watched TGT for 2 years while Ivan has been among EPL top scorers. Always been a bit of an agenda against the Toney signing i.e. "attitude", the betting thing was a very very easy out n lazy journolism to say not to sign him. "We don't want his sort at our grand club" No we don't want betting addicts at our club wrong sort. Despite Mr Arsenal TA6 & PM10 being renowed Drinkers/Gamblers ok for them but not for us to have Toney? 🤔 Wonder why?
reality is hes levels above than what we have. Don't think TC & IT would have a very good relationship media/player wise if he signs you can tell Ivans a bit ghetto like that he'll remember exactly whose wrote n spoken poorly above him. Fair enough if you don't think hes good enough but he brings additional qualities we dont have in the squad. Thats in addition to his flawless pen records, holdup & aerial play. In our team with our chances he scores 25 FACT.
Clinicality in front of goal and build up, no plan B are our issues Toney solves all of these. You would rather spend £115+ on a forward from Italy not prem proven hes fantastic dont get me wrong but Napoli will
play hard ball & we have to wait till summer what do we do until then? 🤷🏾♂️
Its a no brainer in 2-3 years if he hasnt cut the mustard we bring in another. You talk about this signing like its the last forward we sign ever...if we have 65m to spunk on High risk Havertz for it NOT to work (which it wont) we can easily find 30-60m for this deal even if we have to chuck eddie in "good relations" with Brentford too. Dont think we can afford many more "gamble" high risk/value signings Oshimens injury record is poor for the money also.
Sometimes I feel like the standard they go with is they are picking on a girlfriend/boyfriend more than a footballer.
Toney does't solve shit
i agree, toney is good but not better then jesus, we still have no world class players
Mbappe 😂😂😂😂 what on 1mil a week
more chance of prem runners up than champs league lol
We can do way better than Ivan Toney any day, he’s a penalty merchant. We need better than that.
And so is Saka
any realistic suggestions.
@@orientalboy86 Nope. He scored double figures without pens last season. He's also not a striker
Sign Santiago Giménéz
I'll rather take a chance with Evan Ferguson than Toney
😂 😂 Do you know that Brighton will charge same price as Osimen, forget it if you think we will go for him
Yh thank god you ain't in charge of transfers knobhead
Saw it coming months ago! Nketiah is never a premier league player! Then he gets picked for the England squad??? Who on earth is running these shows?? Piss poor!
Toney ?? Arsenal can definitely do better
No better? Nkeitah or Toney?
Toney better than Eddie
Most deluded fans in the world
Toney at Arsenal would have even better stats then what he had at Brentford
A different team with a different system and hugely different expectations?
Statistics only tell you about the past not the future.
Toney is a big fish in small pond. That doesn’t always translate to a bigger pond
Brentford play long ball
I honestly thought this was common sense... obviously not
@@jivet3919 yeah but you could say that about pretty much every signing you make from a club that isn't a real madrid, barca or bayern level. I think ivan toney would suit us very well...and he's got the temperament to play for a big club...he'll take to us just like trossard has
