- I've always loved modified motorcycles. Choppers, bobbers, cafes racers - if its been modified from stock, I'm into it.
I bought this 1985 Kawasaki 454 LTD (En450) for the sole purpose of bobbing it out. It took me a couple of months of my spare time but I'm really happy with the results.

I have to admit I first thought this would be another episode of hatchet job, destroying a nice survivor. But your design, fabrication and assembly work is in the tradition of old school customizers ....great job!
Thanks so much for the comment
That is an awesome build!
Thank you for bringing me into your shop. Amazing creativity and talent
No worries!! Thanks for watching
I started watching this video last night and now I am on my way to work. The music from your video automatically started playing on my Bluetooth.
It was a pretty good soundtrack.
Thanks Mate, the music is my original stuff too so cheers
Did not expect the seat to turn out like it did. Awesome job!
Thanks! Yeah I liked that part the most I became a leather worker soon after
the love and craft that went into that seat, beautiful
Thank you it’s what started my journey into leather work which I now do full-time
I love your creativity. The seat part was the best.
Thanks Seb, it was the most challenging but most rewarding!
What a meticulous job. I really liked the work on that seat, well all the fabrication you did in fact!!👌🏼🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Dano, did my best!
Nice work on that seat!
Beautiful work. Skillful + Inspiration & Amazing. Love it and Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Great stuff. I had a Kawasaki like that one, just kept it stock and had planned to turn it into a bobber. My neighbour rode over it while it was parked... Was a nice bike with great performance for its size. Keep it up and ride safe
Yes it was half of the Kawasaki 900cc engine which was the quickest for its time. A speedy little cruiser for sure
Seriously amazing video.
this is awesome i got so many involuntary tips i was so lost on how to mount the seat now i know
Happy to share knowledge!
Wyszło wszystko idealnie. Nie ograniesz już programu live na dłużej niż kilka tygodni 😂
Work of art. Well done!
Thanks potato!!
Awesome ! Done right! Thanks for sharing

How I would like to have the money and the tools to do that, motorcycles are a passion for me
This is fu(king cool ... Savage build
Cheers mate
hey man, quick question? with going with pods and cutting off the exhaust what size jets did you end up going with? did you just change out the main jet or both piolet and main? thx
Hey mate,
I got an mechanic to do this on the dyno. Too much stuffing around otherwise.
Cool project. What paint did you use for the tires?
The paint was a fail. It flaked off within six months.
Good bike
Thanks
Very nice. What size jets did you use in the carbs?
Alas, it was done by a pro on a dyno....
Nice build. I just bought the same bike and want to do some restoring to it.
What did you do with the hoses that attach to the air box and the hole that goes into the bottom of the air box? Thanks!
I’m with you I just bought a one this weekend and it needs a new gas line been sitting for 5 years but ran and he got to pet his head and was starting to redo the gas tank and cut the gas line not seeing that you have pull the engine to do so. Any recommendations on how to reach the line without pulling the motor?
Pod filters and a small filter on the hose at bottom. It needs to breathe despite what some forums saying that you can plug it. You’ll blow the whole thing eventually if you do.
When you think about every hose is there for a reason.
@@lrdisco2005 I don't disagree. That's why I'm asking where should it be connected to, if the air box is replaced with pod filters. Lol
Needing a few tips on this myself like the brace you made for the seat in the back was that made from the tubing from the original or fully fabricated?
Hi mate
It was a piece of tubing I had bent and welded on and so not from the original frame
You think i could make the rear part of the original work for that ?
Excellent job !!!
Updates?
Sold! Had kids! $$$
Yo ho, yo ho, an inspiration for me!
Yo Ho thank you bro!
Anvil Hide Creations I got an 04 750 Kawasaki Vulcan. I’m gonna do it up like this here soon! By the way I was gonna ask. Do you think the fender is strong enough to put a passenger seat on it?
@@connorchops710 Not this one I'm afraid. Its too short anyway
Anvil Hide Creations that’s my biggest problem with my bike I seriously need a passenger seat. I’m looking everywhere to figure out a solution
Anvil Hide Creations I’m looking to make a really cool bobber’esque cruising bike. To go on long trips with
Good job,,. I have a 83 Honda CX650 Custom that I plan on customizing further to my like. It was only made the 1 year. Have you or know anyone that has done 1??? It has a weird frame Thanks
There are several vids here on CZcams with the CX650 being bobbed.
What kind of paint did you use on the tire? Would regular spray paint damage the rubber?
The paint ended up being a fail and cracking off. I wouldnt reccomend
If you want white wall tires buy them. Everything that is just paint won't do any good regardless of their praising in the commercials. Rubber will deform...that's what it's made for and paint will crack and peel off in no time.
They make the outserts that you just glue to the side of your tire to make them White walls. I've used them a couple times and they aren't bad the only problem is they can't be removed once they are on the tires, they will save you a little bit of money because they are like $40 for a set but when you get new tires you have to get a new set. To me they are 6 of one and half dozen of the other. they are a little cheaper however they are just once item, They are good if you want to keep putting them on everytime you change tires.
What model tank did you use if you don't mind me asking?
Its a Narrow sportster tank from Low Brow Customs in the USA
Wow, good work. Many of us would give a fortune for the stock tank and fender.
that's the Vulcan 500 with the ninja engine isn't it? are you able to get a chopper sound out of her i am looking to get a Japanese custom and right now my options are the Kawasaki Vulcan 500 or the Yamaha Virago 250cc
No it’s an En450. They made them for like 5 or so years in the 80s.
Don’t do the virago 250, it honestly feels like a toy to ride. Do the Vulcan 500 at least
@@anvilhidecreations8572 thanks for the advice
Hi😁 im rebuilding my fathers kawasaki en450ltd just wondering if you happen to have any parts left over from your build you would like to sell thankyou kind regards tony...btw..quality bike👌
Sorry, no. I threw them out!
What type of paint you used for tyres
It didn’t work
Where are you located? I've also got a project '85 454 LTD!
Australia!
what size rear shock you used?
Can’t remember but I don’t think it needed lowering tbh.
Where did you source after market parts
Lowbrow customs
bonjour de France , est il possible d'avoir la quantité d'huile par tube de fourche ?
merci d'avance
désolé, je ne me souviens pas exactement de la quantité d'huile de fourche, je l'ai juste remplie jusqu'au bout !
Link to the handle bars and suspension?
Any generic motorcycle shop. Nothing special
Hi, it's awesome !! but I have a question, if the rear wheel ups, it doesn't punch the fender? because you keep it the shocks.
Yes its attached to the back section of the wheel frame so it moves with the shocks
el tanque de cuantos litros es. es tipo harley el tanque verdad?
Yes. It’s a narrow sportster tank
How much you charge for a seat just like that ?
It was a one off
GreAt BuiLD!
These Classic bikes are Pure eYe*CAnDy!

I like it, by the way, your snake was out.
She has a habit of doing that I can’t be held responsible
I love the bike. But the snake freaked me out
Haha!
Some bike just look better left alone but to each their own
A fair observation. Not sure why you would watch a bobber transformation video if you like stock bikes though?
Never seen someone painting tires
It was a failed experiment let’s just say
Eu tenho uma Kawasaki En 500 1995 , gosto dela original, jamais eu faria essa transformação.
Buenísimo, pa' saber...
excelente front argentina
Thanks!
I don't think the guy even has the bike anymore!
Correct! I kept having kids $$$
Много работы сделал... Но в стоке мотоцикл гораздо красивее.
Ok
LOSE THE SPEEDO AND BLINKERS...nice
I’d rather stay alive haha
The seat is a Masterpiece, the sissy bar, well, I just don't like it ...
Fair enough
It's nice, but the pattern of the oil tank has the same meaning as Hakenkreuz.
What an absurd “observation”.
