That Red Card ruined a good match
Well deserved

The reason why is for 3 reasons
1. His eyes were locked on the ball, didn’t even know he was there.
2. There was no intention to make a tackle
3. You can see him trying to soften the the boot so he can take control of the ball.
With all these factors combined there is no way that should have been a red card. Maybe a foul, shocking to see a yellow card and 100% not a red.

Another wasteful missed win, but I’m still wondering why people are complaining about the red card. I thought that the rule is that if the boots collect a player above their foot with studs on contact, it’s a straight red every time, which definitely does happen here. I’m not denying those claims, I just want to understand why people think it’s not a red.
Mate, patty wood had no clue that the player was there, didn’t look at him, was looking at the ball the whole time, he got the ball and he even turned him foot away, it’s not even a foul little own a red card. Absolutely disgraceful refereeing. Ruined this game
@@thebaintrain7066to my understanding, the rule is that if the studs make clear contact with the player above his foot, it’s a straight red. It doesn’t matter if it’s intentional or not. I was hoping for a more logical response honestly
Either way, they seriously need to work on these rules, because it was definitely accidental or at least make the rule clear to the public. I actually also think that the game was ruined, but I do agree that it was a red.
