- Friday morning drive at 6am in Davos Switzerland and the surrounding area, after a night of hanging out with my imaginary billionaire friends :) Davos is most well known as the annual meeting location of the World Economic Forum (WEF), which always gets a lot of press in the first part of the year. But as the video shows, its quite normal here. But that's most of Switzerland anyway.

Davos is a town in the Swiss Alps, within the canton of Graubünden. It’s a popular ski resort with a conference center that hosts the annual World Economic Forum. Downhill and cross-country ski areas include Jakobshorn, Pischa, Rinerhorn and Parsenn. Summer activities include swimming and sailing on Lake Davos, hiking and mountain biking. The Glacier Express, a scenic train ride, connects Davos to the Matterhorn. ― Google

NEVER EVER seen such a landscape. After the city limits, from 17:50, scenes were simply mindblowing... This place turns my favorite on earth. Thanx dude.
Wow! The downhill drive was incredible. You must have gone from Elevation 5,000 ft. to Sea Level? That very long tunnel was incredible. I can only imagine how difficult it was to engineer and construct. Another awesome video, J Utah 👍 Thank you!!
The ride went from about 4.800 ft. (1.460 m, Davos) to 3.000 ft. (998 m, Serneus) using the 6,7 mi. (4,2 km) long Gotschna-Tunnel followed by the Sunniberg-Bridge (1.578 ft./526 m). The bridge was finished in late 1998, 18 months after the tunnel construction started. The route, a bypass of the village Klosters at 3.537 ft. (1.179 m), was opened in Dez. 2005 and did cost 240 mio. CHF (180 mio. USD at that time). The upper part was built with a 180° curve passing the street we were on before entering the tunnel. Looks impressive on a map, too.

For a Swiss standards, with dozens of picturesque Alpine towns, Davos looks quite ugly.

The Alps have a couple of tunnels even way longer than this one (sometimes 20km long)
This one, the Gotschna-Tunnel, "only" has 4,2 km. The longest ones in the Alps passing the Gotthard with a length of 16,9 km for vehicles and 57 km for trains.

I passed through Davos with the car twice, and it's pretty ugly compared to the other swiss villages, small cities, resorts. It looks like a communist mining city.

Davos is not the most beautiful town to be frank and there also live no billionaires. Just normal people. But the nature is awesome and special compared to other places in Switzerland.

The gas prices in Switzerland are quite high. So no reason for a "secret".
@@coswiger 2.35 CHF is $2.44 in USD. I'd say that's pretty low given the circumstances lately.
Again, it's for one liter - not a gallon. You have to nearly take it times four to compare. It was at 1,75 CHF last year.
