A child is trapped in a burning car. From series 5, episode 2 (1992). I do not own this programme. London's Burning is copyright Network DVD and London Weekend Television
As horrible as this was, its why London's Burning was always a powerful show. It didnt just show happy endings, nor did it show the firefighters walking away like its just another job. It showed horrible shouts as well as the silly, the ones where routine went wrong and the long shots paid off. Reminds me of the house fire shout from the pilot movie. Watching them all go back to the station with the only lines a very empty 'I'm loosing a lot of blood' 'No you're not. It's all going down into your boot' You couldnt see this kind of tv nowadays.
Can't believe how graphic this shout is. As my sister pointed out when we watched this: ''He will have to live with that for the rest of his life; him killing his sister''.
Anyone saying that the young child in question should be grounded is probably too young to be watching a television show of this nature. Some sort of parental intervention is critically needed here.
People fail to realize that this is a TV show, Josh's sister was most likely removed from the car BEFORE Josh sets it on fire, pause at 1:21, the backseat of the car is clearly visible, mainly the spot where his sister should be... but she's not in the car... she was taken out of the car before the fire scene is shot, they're just pretending she's still in the car and burned to death, relax!! The baby is alive and well, people, calm down, good God...
Or perhaps they replaced the actual girl with a plastic doll. I have all London's Burning episodes on DVD so I will need to watch this scene closely again.
When I was a child back in the 80s I used to play with matches/fire. My dad caught me red handed setting fire a dress when I was 7 years old. He gave me such a severe good hiding I haven't touched matches since. And I am 40 now.
Pff that's nothing for itv Watch taggart the show use gory and brutal, in 2008 they would air it at 3 and kids would the see the brutal murders. Also they used to allow boobs on the show
No idea why but BA was seldom used by the Fire Brigade back then. There's a video of their first shout and there was an active garage or shed fire, they tackled it without BA. Very odd, yet to find out why.
unlikely since they used real fire rather than cgi at this stage of london's burning , it would have likely been to dangerous to have the actress film that scene, even cheaper perhaps to have it done off screen as sure there would also be an insurance cost.
At 1:05, the kid drops the burning match because he almost burnt his fingers. He accidently throws it on the car seat. When he tried to extinguish the match by blowing on it, he added extra oxygen; plus combined with the flammable seat covering; WHOOSH.
It was kind of the mother's fault for leaving matches in the car but at the same time it was Josh's fault aswell because he shouldn't have been playing with matches plus he left his baby sister in the car instead of trying to save her
I am guessing that Josh just panicked and didn't know what to do when the car seat went up. Hence him running and screaming to his mother for help. It reminds me of the time my dad caught me red handed playing with matches when I was a child back in the 1980s (back then I set fire to a dress just for the fun of it). He severely punished me for doing that. I haven't touched matches again since.
1100HondaCB always fancied a Lada Riva (I know this was an FSO). Think I might go there and drive one home. Why not. Sissies use low loaders for perfectly functioning cars. I drove an unseen eBay purchase from Aberdeen to Buckinghamshire! (Wasn't eastern block, triumph acclaim, Honda engineered!), that or an UAZ 452.
It can happen to anyone like I have medical training and at highest off pandemic I work with animals there have a small child he was choking on a battery he found I helped to save him Lucky I was around at the time

Violence as comedy. I think
That's real life
Nobody lost their life here, it was only acting, but shows how children should never be left alone .
Can't believe how graphic this shout is. As my sister pointed out when we watched this: ''He will have to live with that for the rest of his life; him killing his sister''.
This is why you don’t leave matches in a car
Possibly one of the saddest moments in the show

Feel bad for the kid that got baked 😢 😢
This scene would've never been allowed in a US show.

3:47 Nick georgiadis will be having nightmares for a while
Mercedeslhamiltonfan it’s something that no one should ever ever have to see. Even if it’s a tv show.
@@roadwolf2 and I know it's fiction but you realize it's even more difficult that the mother and son wod both have to live with the choices they made
you all think its the boys fault but I think its the parents for leaving matches where he could reach them very sad

This video is way too shocking to watch.
Charlotte Warner we were shown worse as 5 year olds at school. Electrical safety videos

Nasty shout, that...

I know it's just a show but in germany in real life you would never go closer to a burning car without breathing protection gear
30 Years ago it might was still the case. Now you equip yourself on the ride.

the look on nicks face said it all very sad
I really like the dramatic turnout
Same here, probably the best on the show!
this video make me cry
I hope that kid gets reprimanded to the max this shout was too gruesome for me to bear!
Moral to the story: Don't leave younger kids unsupervised in a car, with a small box of matches lying nearby.
And that's why kids shouldn't play with matches :)
Tre I'm a way he was not hurt
And parents, *NEVER **_EVER_** LEAVE MATCHES WHERE CHILDREN CAN GET TO THEM!*
That's why kids don't play with matches

how did the munms face go bernt veryy very sad
She tried to open the door and the fire blew onto her face most likely.
She tried to get the baby out of the car but kept being beaten back by the flames
that baby got baked like a cake 🎂
the look on nick,s say,s it all
I played with the cigarette lighter in my dad's car once, the result burned my finger, and made me never play with lighters again.
That was so sad
Is there not a scene where the woman tries to reach into the car but the flames beat her back

Josh is probably gonna get grounded for life
I'll repeat what a commenter said here: From what you wrote, you're likely too young for this show.
Only you can prevent car fires
I feel so sad for the babby because it is so cute
Madison Norton same
What about the mum? She lost a child
Mum just take the matches with you. Maybe Josh tried to whiff it out but he accidentally dropped it?

I hope you get better.
I think it was the parents and the boy cuz what you said is true and the boy new was wrong cuz he smiled a bit
That spreaded quickly and that boy should be put in jail
It isn't like he did it on purpose he was just a kid if this was real it would be the parents fault for leaving the matches and the kids unatended
That spreaded quickly and that boy should be put in young offenders
If smoking was band in cars then matches and lighters will ever cause this in real life. And never leave your children unattended in a car.
What make of car was that
That's something I'd like to know too.
@@scousertom0388 it looks like it was made up for that scene.
@@josephmullin5845 Maybe...
baby ?
Did the girl stay alive
Of course, it's called acting
The boy killed his own sister and Hurt his mom
It’s a little boy
And it could've all been avoided if the mum hadn't LEFT THE MATCHES IN THE F-*BLEEP*-ING CAR WHERE HE COULD GET TO THEM!
I am now an orphan because my whole family was killed in a car fire
I am really really sorry to hear that. My dearest sympathies.
My condolences.
Omg it's so sad I cried I'm shaking is it real
Yes because the camera men filmed the kid lighting the match and didn't do anything about it. It is obviously a tv show
😂😂😂😂 not the sharpest, are you?
ITS THE PERENT FAULT FOR LEAVING MACHES IN TYE CAR 🚗
*EXACTLY!*
Did the sister die 😢
A rhetorical question if I ever saw one.
Of course not, it's called acting.
Is this a show or in real life? I always think crime shows are not fake and it is a real murder. Just asking.
Nah, it's just a show.
The camera shots clearly indicate it is just a tv show.
😂😂😂😂
I am live in germany you are not have daht
even the baby didn't agree on the idea and also i dont trust him in the ambulance cause he might set fire to that too
I remember seeing this as a child, frightened the absolute shite out of me. As an adult it taught me to never leave kids alone in a car
What material is that car made of? You can barely burn wood with a single match.
Paper ? 😂
Is the parents fault for leaving him in there.
Hear, hear!
kkkkkkkkkkk🤓
Man’s not hot
I’m not a furry i swear so chavy
Why are people are so dumb it’s just a movie
No no it's a tv show
A cheap Eastern bloc car and that's what you get I'm afraid.

ha ha oxygen trouble on the double
Why does the boy not get the baby out? Also blow on a match not drop and blow
Nick forgot about the kid and was sad over the car
