the depth and detail of this review is excellent, I've found so much more value in this review than from other larger channels that regularly get hold of free "review" hardware
Very good review, I came from an X-52Pro/X-56 set up and I've replaced my broken stick with the F-16ex, and liked it so much I got the throttle with the standard F-15e grips. I agree with the niggles, especially the unlock mechanism for the throttle grips, I think they can make some improvements there, other than that after 8 months of use, I do love the setup I have, even the software I have learned how to use fairly well. and dialed in the different after burner settings for each aircraft.
Nice review, this one is definitely on my list for replacing my T16000M hotas. What do you use for zoom view in DCS? I now use the radar elevation pinky axis on my throttle which is very smooth. Looks like this radar elevation axis is not as smooth, would you think it would be suitable for zoom view? (I use it as an axis to set it just the way I want and leave it there for different scenarios)
@@TheTomster94 I use the lower thumb axis to zoom (lower one on the throttle panel), but the pinky one on the left throttle would probably also be great.
Does the stick twist left and right for rudder for example? Or is there rudder controls on the throttle? Or are there any rudder controls on them at all
@@NDARanging on its own, there is no rudder controls. It's kind of assumed that if you're paying this much for a hotas, you have pedals. But there is an add-on you can get to convert to a twist stick if you prefer that
@@EpicNinjaRides that's the non-max version, and with the F18 throttle, not the one I reviewed. Just checked and the max with the 15EX throttle is $520. The figure I quoted was correct for at the time of recording from the UK store
Not Dodgy at all! ❤ Excellent Review.
This my dream joystick to play DCS.Force feedback vibration and more button are really nice to play with.

Great review mate👍🏻did you order from the WINWING UK store? If so how long did it take to arrive? Cheers
@@andrewwait94 yes, from the UK store. I can't remember the exact time but I'm pretty sure it was under a week
Looking to upgrade so this is useful, thank you.
Hey. A tip for the base. Change the plate with the warthog baseplate. Will improve a lot.
