can we paint before placing it together? wouldn't that be easier?

You can do it the way it works best for you :) I glued first, because I didn‘t want any glue on top of my paint. Also those blocks are often uneven, so when you paint first, I would recommend to not only paint the visible sides of the block, so you don‘t see any wood after placing it together..

it just makes the surface more even, so that the color can be applied more easy and doesn't go into little uneven spots, but you can easily skip it, it's not a big difference :) @@unok3812
