Mod Max was the moral victor here - mud tyres, raised ride height, basically stock power for an LS1, 12.9 quarter mile - very impressive!

nooranik21 Supergramps hurt me. Supergramps has been my favorite MCM car from the start and I feel that he'd have a great chance to rival the v8 supercar. I hope he's back up soon but I'd also love to see the repairs.

11 sec is pretty impressive considering the V8 Supercar isn't built to be a drag car.
And not just mid-11's... 11.08 in the final run! Nothing against the driver (who is obviously a professional, just not in this discipline), but I'm sure with more launch practice there's at least another 10th or two on the table. Not like he cares lol, but as you said, very impressive considering the car is clearly not optimized for drag racing. 132mph is a solid low 10-second trap speed. A 10-second car that can also murder just about anything on a road course, what a beast!

If they fitted wider drag tyres, they could have given it HEAPS more traction. But that wasn't the point....

Super gramps is heavy and only tuned to 350-400hp. It was going to loose, marty should have gone easy on the launch.. I have a 02 bugeye at 350hp and ive grenaded two 5mt and one 6mt

I know MCM already make a good amount of money from merch, but if they decide to make a PPV series, we shouldn't say they "sold out"
More like cashed in to give us better content, selling out is taking the pay and running like many rappers for example.

They pulled the engine and sold it. You can see the engine in the mira build. Someone on the MCM forum actually owns Daisy now, although it's still without an engine.

We dragged it up to 2016 because we love our RWD domestics, and utes as well. We dragged the USA ford 200ci inline 6 kicking and screaming along with it to eventually end up with the turbo barra 4L - the engine actually powering the cresta. It was a sad day when falcon production ended so no more domestic RWD sedans and utes, and no more barras/ turbo barras
N.Eeggg Yeah Ford had the common sense to bring in a good replacement for the Falcon. GM on the other hand...uhhh

I literally watched the entire saga of gramps and super gramps today to get done and are this new video up. I was so excited to see super gramps race and heart broken to see Marty break it. Damn it.

He was saying driveshaft at the end which seems more plausible as the sti 6 speed are pretty tough and he said he has broke a driveshaft before.

Erik Simca I'm guessing he looked underneath afterwards and found a broken driveshaft just because he mentioned it near the end of the video , he said it could be the input shaft etc literally just as it happened and couldn't of possibly known then. Only guessing of course.

Do a fix video showing the damage to supergramps. Hope its nothing too serious on that, I was expecting it to do quite well... And then you bought out the cresta. I laughed because I knew that was going to waste the race car. That things a monster, and its awesome to see it doing that.
Engine was fine. It's most likely the stock input shaft on the transmission that blew up. Few bucks and a few hours under the car. I hope Marty will get a built transmission but he most likely will not since it's the car he daily drives. That would be way too much noise and very expensive clutches....
I don't think the damage is that severe.
Worst case is a new transmission or driveshaft. But it does seem like an input shaft broke. A bit of time and effort should help.
The engine itself is fine, which is the most important part. Had it blown, let's just say Supergramps would have been in dormancy for quite a while.
When he launches if you look closely you can see the driveshaft drop down a bit, then at the end of the video he asks if Mostert wants to help him fix the driveshaft.
Mark M his daily is the Focus RS, this could be the time they over haul supergramps and get some more ponies out of him too.
That video of the mini intorduction. The freedom, the driving, sunset, warm and windows down. It just wants to make me build a car my self and enjoy the time.

Edgar M Most subarus especially sti's launch around there you have to not to bog. Actually suprised the six speed broke it was probably a clutch or drive shaft.

punkguy350 I doubt it. The dragway was greasy and Chaz was struggling on his slicks, plus he has like a 100-150(?) horsepower advantage

i thought it was the best race out of the lot of them. considering how light max is compared to the falcon. that extra power the supercar has i don;t think it would matter if max had

I wondered what happened to it too, so i did a search for it on google.
