As a gift for a gardener, I think I'm going to add seed packs and identification tags for planting. Herbs, flowers, and veggies too! I love this project and can't wait to start !
I absolutely love your idea. ❤
ohh, that's awesome! :) I don't know anyone who I could gift an advent calendar with JJ material to. But seeds? yeah, that could work! Thanks for the idea!!
Oh that's such a good idea! 🥰
What a great idea!!
That’s a great idea, my aunt loves to be in her garden, I would love to see a tutorial on using the seed packets
More ideas that were not shown in the video (I will be adding to this as the comments come in) - "30 days to Anniversary" - put a love not in each pockets. Or 30 reasons why I love you..
- A gift for a gardener - add seed packs and identification tags for planting. Herbs, flowers and veggies.
- Put them in different order so that the recipient must flip through the book to find each day.
- Use blues and whites and greens to recreate a crisp, chilly snowy winter night - hot cocoa in pockets
- Money in pockets
- Spring/Summer/Winter/Autumn themed
- Decoupage the book pages with beautiful napkins to get a design on the page and to push the text into the background!
- Jig saw puzzles!!! That leads to a completed puzzle in the end!
- Photographs of all the fun times you had with the recipient
- Journaling Prompts for each day!
- "use it for a birthday month. Include necklace, earrings, charms, bracelet, gift card, tickets to movies or an event, pics of both of you, a birthday card, and/or things they like. Also these can be thin or flat to fit pockets"
- make one of these as a memory book. Child's or grandchild's milestones, and family times, in individual mini handmade books.
Great ideas, I thought holiday guessing game mix up the no. let the kids find them and try to guess where they are going.
Gorgeous ideas 😍😍
These are all fabulous ideas, Natasa. Thanks for sharing.
Brilliant! You could also put clues in each slot so people would have to figure out their gift :)
I made one for my mom at the beginning of December. Her birthday is Christmas day, so instead of a Christmas advent calendar, I made hers for the 25 days till her birthday and wrote on 25 reasons and memories of why I love her. One to open every day. Thank you for the brilliant idea!
I'm so inspired. I'm Jewish but always wanted to come up with nice gift ideas for my Christian friends.
But it occurred to me I could make one for Chanukah for my kids too. Just 8 large envelopes 😍😍😍 I'm very excited. I have 4 Christian children and 2 Jewish children to make these for.
Thank you!
That's a brilliant idea! So smart of an alternative!😍
@@juliebarkley9033 I think I'll make a paper menorah and in each envelope I'll do a gift and a paper candle to tuck into the menorah. This video was super inspirational
YES! I have a Jewish friend and I thought it would be wonderful to send her one as well 💖
Better get started.
Fabulous idea, I love it!!!!
“Absolutely stunning”. ..doesn’t even come close….!
Thank you so much :)
Yes! Feeling inspired!!! ✉📩📨🎄🎅 Other pocket stuffer ideas: large jigsaw puzzle pieces 🧩 some of Natasa's cardstock buttons🪶pretty feathers; photos from times shared with the recipient; poems and quotes; seeds for the garden (if not sending abroad); journalling prompts, Xmas cracker jokes, pawprint greetings from your dog or cat, flat Xmas tree decorations, recipient's initials in wooden or stick-on letters, Chinese papercuts, skeletal leaves..."the possibilities are endless"!
Natasha, every single video you make I'm inspired.
I shared your channel with my mother and she's not a Journalist.
I just think your imagination is impecable. Thanks for always sharing your ideas with us.
I'm so obsessed with your channel I can wait every single week to see you.
I did a watch-a-ton the first time I found you😅
To me, a week is tooooo... long to wait but, I know how hard it it's to do crafting and being a momma.
Just know that you inspired the almost 200k people you have in here.
The thing a love the most is your sense of humor. Thanks for everything you do.
Happy Holidays ❤
Is hard when she don,t post on a saturday😂.i,m not the only one looking at CZcams hundred times,i,m sure😂❤
@@auroralafuentesalgado2775 lol you are not!.
Its a little depressing I'm not going to lie.
😁
ohhhh this message melts my heart! Thank you so very much, I truly appreciated your kind words :)
If you have given someone a journal one year as a gift. The next year you could give this. You could leave the numbers off and use it for ephemera storage. Thank you for the video! Treasuring my books, I make.....
I absolutely love this project. What a great idea for even children. They would love opening an envelope each day finding kid stuff like gum, coloring pages, stickers, a portion of the Christmas story ending on the 25th with the Magi bringing gifts to the young child Jesus.
Letters of love from grandma. I better get started!!!❤
Great idea!
Your creativity is mind blowing to me. Im going to make one of these for my nephew’s fiancé. She can open one envelope a day until their wedding day. Thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiration!
Wonderful idea!!
It’s Treasure Day !!!!!
I love that your daughter was so inspired and so creative. That is really special. I can imagine lots of ways to use this idea. Thank you, Natasha.
I DO feel inspired!!! I always feel inspired by your videos and really really look forward to the next one. I have all kinds of tools and machines but it's just amazing to see the elegant journals and books you make from practically castoffs. Don't ever feel we are not inspired! Also, it would be fun to see your daughter's little hands play crafting with you. 💕💕💕
I got inspired right away. I was thinking if the first pocket holds a blank journal, everything else can be stuff to embellish the journal, so it is like a little kit.
Absolutely love that idea!!!
What you creat is not only beautiful but very classy. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas.
Thank you so much!
This would be a great gift for someone who likes to travel. The cover, maybe a map? Making pouches a little larger to store memorabilia from a trip. Each envelope or pocket could have a tag to write on a date and location. Ohh!! All the possibilities!!!
I’m going to make one of these as a memory book. I’ve been recording my 8mo grandson’s milestones, and family times, in individual mini handmade books. I was going to just put them all into a decorated box, but now I’ll be art journaling pages, and putting each mini book in its own little envelope on those pages and gifting it to my son and DIL on his first birthday.
Excellent ideas, added to the list! Thank you for sharing :)
You always provide inspiration in ways I bet you never even thought about. ❤ Sadly, I have no family. It's of my own decision, stay with emotionally blackmailing, manipulating, control freaks, and a mom that's a narcissistic alcoholic or cut ties and deal with lonely holidays. Lonely holidays are less to deal with than 365 days of nasty. But this is a Brilliant idea!
Better off being alone, than surrounded by people who drag you down over and over and over again. I'm glad you found peace in solitude! Crafting is your friend!
I made one of these for my mom and dad, only I had their grandkids and great grandkids put something in a pocket of their choice, in place of the number I made name plates to hold the envelope flap down❤
This would make the absolutely perfect gift idea… if I had friends and family who enjoyed these types of things. But I’m super inspired and brainstorming non-scrapbooking ideas for pocket fillers. Things like… Fabric swatches. Threads. Stickers. Maybe a gift card or two for small amounts? Eyeshadow pallets. Makeup brushes. Eyeliner pens. (For the long, narrow pockets.) Of course, most of these are incredibly bulky items.
Gusseted pockets so they're more like small boxes
Long narrow envelope could hold 2-3 colored pencils. Larger flat pocket could be pages to color
19:25 The advice you gave at this spot is so useful. I should sort my book pages and save the ones with illustrations at the bottom for making envelopes with interesting top flaps. I found this reminder also very useful: to use book pages as decorative paper especially when we need exact straight lines (like for checking where to fold without extra measuring). One of many-many things I admire about your channel is that you do your homework - you prepare prototypes, you clearly demonstrate how to go about planning stress-free by building quick visuals, you test run, and you have your cheat sheets ready.
Those little nail-art stickers are great to use on finished handmade beads because of their small size.
I missed this video when it aired (camping trip). VERY inspiring! I love this idea. I’ve decided I’ll make myself one in January for my birthday in July. I’ll “forget” what I put in pockets and be excited opening them. 💖💖💖 Thank you!!!
Inspired. I want to add an appendix or epilogue for the 12 days of Christmas, counting from Christmas to Epiphany. When I was young, one year our family had no money for Christmas, so my dad wrote each of us a story for our Christmas present. A few paragraphs a day in each envelope would be a gift always treasured.
I love what you shared about your daughter. Her envelopes are perfect! I’m so happy to hear about moms that share with their children their passion.
Sweetest part with your daughter’s creativity! Please show us on a side note in one of your videos her finished creation if she finishes it. ❤️
Yes! Your video totally inspired me! I am listing Christmas related things for the pockets. I want to make this for my adult daughters and include things like Christmas stamps, return address labels, to from tags, Christmas list papers, and ask things along those lines. I also love the 30 days to your birthday. Each day will have little notes saying what I love about the person I'm giving this to and also insert pictures of fun times together. This is exciting. Thank you for the inspiration. I run out of ideas on what to give those that don't need more stuff!
Natasha! This is stunning and what a fabulous idea! I love this for my adult daughter. I will pop a small gift card for her favorite places in each day and write her a letter about all I love about her and the woman she has become for day 25.
Thank you so much for constantly sharing your creativity with us. You are such a beautiful soul. ❤
So beautiful
Thank you
This is what happens when I watch your videos: I'm 5.25 minutes into the video. I pause the video and go into my studio and immediately begin making 3 advent calendars at a time 😅😂. Now that it's dark, I'll finish watching the video, Thank you very much 😂👍❤️
Hehe I love it!!!
You never stop amazing me. You are the greatest crafter ever. I'm going to do this and put it for my teen under the tree so he opens it and his gift cards ,money ,and other things for X-mas are in it. Then he can keep it for a book to hold keepsakes in. Thank you 😊
Your work is very disticitive. As soon as I come to your videos I know it's your designs.
Thank you so much!!!
You literally come up with the absolute best ideas!!!!!
Thank you so much :)
Enjoy all your videos. Look forward to Saturday when your video comes out. The dots, I call them gem dots. 💕
Thank you so much :)
I do feel very inspired by this project. Think I will do something for my disabled sister for December. Thank you so much for this video tutorial to show us the advent calendar. ❤
And the detail of your nail polish matches your creation! The countdown video is beautiful. Thank you
Thank you so much!
Absolutely magical. I love all the little details sprinkled throughout that make the whole project cohesive, such as the gold decorations and using the same sewing stitch on all the envelopes. Definitely a true ‘treasure book’!
Thank you so much!
What a wonderful Idea!!
Jewelry would go in pockets too
Just incredible!!!! Every single thing you share inspires me more and more! Thank you for giant effort I KNOW it must take to create these videos. Believe me….YOU’RE inspiring millions! 🥰
Your precious daughter being inspired by her Mom is just beautiful to my heart. Brings back memories of my daughter being inspired by my scrapbooking, some years ago.
She would scrapbook along side my Mom and me. She’s a bit embarrassed at what her scrapbooks look like now that she’s 19, but she is so artistic and truly loves art!
She doesn’t consider that this was ten or more years ago.
This is one more incredible project that you’ve shared, Natasha!
I find myself wondering if you EVER get sleep😂♥️
Love this idea ❤. I will use it for a birthday month. Include necklace, earrings, charms, bracelet, gift card, tickets to movies or an event, pics of both of you, a birthday card, and/or things they like. Also these can be thin or flat to fit pockets.
You out did yourself on this one. So very creative!!
Excellent ideas, added to the list! Thank you for sharing :)
Love this idea.
But... I also think that on the last page of the book i will add a note about the recipient refilling the pockets themselves and passing the book onto someone else the next Christmas. Makes me wonder how many years it would be passed around and if it would ever make it back to the original recipient 😊
Wow!! So inspired to make a version of thus for each of my two granddaughters! My brain is on overdrive!!❤
Cool idea for an adult advent calender ❤ Greetings from Denmark
This is a marvelous idea for a gift. A crafter would love it,grandchildren that craft, like mine, would be happy to receive it. Meticulous instructions and yes, very inspiring 😊❤👍
Thank you so much :)
Oh! My! Word! that is absolutely AMAZING.
Love it.
💕🏴
I love this idea. I think I'm going to do one for each of my children, and for my parents next year. I envision including gift cards, tickets for events, sentiments, small gifts, codes to redeem games online, subscriptions, clues to find larger hidden gifts. Such fun!
This is absolutely stunning! 💖 And I love the first page & the “misfit” blue envelope. It’s kicking off the season in its blue glory! 😅💙
There is no feeling like your daughter, imitating you it's like a warm hug but from the inside that's the best way I can describe it. Why not do a wonky envelope count down album. love this vid, you are always so inspiring, youv'e got my ideas flying around in my brain. tfs have a blessed day. Nicole UK
I do like the blue envelope with stars for day 1, it looks like a crisp, chilly, snowy winter night! A night for a cup of hot cocoa!
Well... now that you put it that way... hehe love it
What an amazing project! Unique gift for anyone!
Vielen Dank für diese tollen Inspirationen. Jetzt weiß ich endlich, warum ich so manches Papier nicht wegwerfen kann😊
I am inspired! A great gift idea for different hobbies or events one might have - new baby, wedding, graduation, birthday quilting, gardening, cooking ( new recioes to try, tips, etc) I think it would make a great prayer journal - I am really inspired with this idea. You never cease to amaze me with your creativity! You are very gifted!
This is a wonderful project. I see how it can also be a gift that keeps on giving. I see it being refilled after all the wonderful things are used and given to another person and they use it, refill it and pass it on. I love this project. You are definitely an inspiration. Thank you❤️
Wow, Mind Blown.
I felt totally inspired! It was so fun to watch you fill each pocket and talk it through to us. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very inspiring! You are so creative and have the best ideas! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much :)
I love your daughter envelopes so much❤and yes,i feel inspire,i feel inspire everytime i see your videos,no one like you for that.❤
Thank you so much :)
My God, I love your videos so, so much!!! You always have the greatest ideas, are so informative, you clearly explain instructions, and have such beautiful projects ❤️! Thank you again for such a wonderful video and great creative ideas. I always learn something new. I love you and your videos. You are so talented. Thank you for sharing your art❤
Inspired? YES! We pulled names for family Secret Santa and I can certainly implement this idea for my gift! Recipient isn't a maker, but will fill pockets with notes of affirmation and encouragement! Gift card or cash might fill a couple. I may fill pockets with clues to a scavenger hunt to the gift(s). YES YES YES you have inspired me! I may make one for friend to open when she needs a boost with instructions how she can refill pockets with favored things. Oh, the inspiration! Thank you!
Ohhhh I'm so happy that you feel so inspired!!! Thank you so much :)
Another great bit of inspiration. Great idea to fil each pocket with seeds for the gardener, or fun little gifts to lead up to a birthday.
This is so wonderful!! You have such a great imagination. I can see this as a stationary holder. Stamps, paper clips, envelopes, cards, etc... My mind is going now. Lol. Thank you
Love this idea of stuffers!
Love it!!!
Oh my goodness am I inspired!!
I love the way you inspire us! You have so many great ideas, I have used a lot of them on my journals. You leave me in awe with your great ideas. My son bought me your book for my birthday. Thank you, and happy holidays! ❤
Great ideas. Thank you!
Beautiful!! You're looks so much better than mine did, but mine did have its own kind of charm. Speaking of not decorating for the holidays . . . I had a wild hair about two weeks before Halloween and ended up making ten 63 Days of Holiday Madness Advent Calendar (From Halloween 10/31/2023 To New Years Day 1/1/2024). 63 days. Oh my lordy. Sent it out to friends and family . . . arrived on Halloween or just a couple days later. But the receivers are sure liking it! I love giving advent calendars.
I love your daughter’s envelopes! ❤
Like everyone else, I am inspired by this amazing project. Your creative mind and eye for detail always leave me awestruck. I don't have any friends who do junk journals or are even into crafting, so I have enjoyed reading some of the other ideas people have shared. My mind is spinning.
This project was quite something. In fact, amazing comes to mind. You certainly have the talent, technique, teaching ability and personality to create and inspire your viewers. Most impressive and I don’t impress easily.
Carol from California
Thank you! Cheers!
So very inspired, as always. I have to run, not walk, to my craft room! Thank you!
Have fun!
Stunning
I love this idea. Thank you
Wow. This is beautiful. The possibilities are endless. Thank you.
Thank you! 😊
Wowza! Yes inspired!! In the years to follow the recipient can use this as a Christmas daily journal. They can keep what they wrote and add to it year after year. Love your daughter’s envelopes! Yes make them a little wonky like those paper houses you made! Maybe make it Whoville and Grinch themed! As you say, the possibilities are endless! Thank you for this amazing project!
I think this is a great gift journal!
Awww I love that you showed the envelopes your daughter made! 🥹 always inspiring! 🦋🍄 This project is striking, and you’re a master at repurposing! ✨🧡✨
Love this idea for the 100 envelope challenge. Going to make one to start in the new year :)
Wonderful!
Wow Natasa!!! What an awesome idea! You could do so many themes with this project. I would bet that each one of my daughters (I have 5) would love this as a gift. 😮❤
I loved this idea before I even clicked on the video. Simple and beautiful 😊😊😊☮️♥️🌎
Thank you! 😊
I would absolutely love to receive this as a gift and it would be so fun to make up. You could use it for a child's school year or a baby book to make it easier for a mom to journal or store stuff for a time when she doesn't have so much to do. Very inspiring.😊
I love how you explain every tiny detail😍.. can you please make a video on how you organize your supplies? Thank you very much🌷💕
Gorgeous! I love it. I have no need of such a large book . A smaller book to keep a collection together would work for me.
Such a delightful idea, and I could see this being a year-round activity to bring to holiday bazaars!
Would you fill it? If so, with what?
Oh this is the coolest thing I've seen this year!
Thank you so much :)
The bright light in ab awful week. Thank you so much!
You are such an amazing creator and I love all your video's. Your tutorials are so easy to follow and inspire me with everything you create, so thank you Natasha. I love your channel.
Thank you so much!
What a great achievement and concept. It could be used for every holiday 😊😊❤
I was looking at Advent calendars and book form Advent calendars because i can't afford to buy one.
So I'm thrilled to see your take on them. I think what i would change right away is use a wider spine so I can get more in there. And each pocket or envelope would have a gusset so its more like a small box. Well not all but many.
Flat pockets are still good for photographs, cards, even pop up catds, zines, gift cards and all the things you showed like stickers
I like doing Origami and pop-up things. I could see the 1st pocket being large and being a fold out scene like a 3-sided room that you add to to create a Christmas scene by the end of the book. It could be Santa's toy shop, or a Nativity scene, or a standard Christmas tree living room scenewith pop up tree, fireplace, gifts, furniture, tables, snacks.
Or any hobby you're into. Trains, camping, coloring books (colored pencils in long pockets and pages to color in other pockets).
You could put earrings and necklaces you make into envelopes. If there's a December birthday make a special bigger pocket for the birthday person.
You could put thin socks or underwear, like long underwear. Mitten layers
Poems, Recipes for traditional holiday foods, lyrics to favitite songs, text of favorite books like The Night Before Christmas. Lists of holiday movies to watch. I think photos of past holidays when a child was younger wiu6kd be a treasure for them to remember past Christmas holidays. Especially relatives passed.
For myself I'd give myself some art supplies to rediscover, or art I did. I have a lot of plain solid construction paper i could cut into shapes, make snowflakes, envelopes etc. I have fabric and felt. Small Christmas stockings
I like dollhouse miniatures and they make kits to build things that are in small flat packages.
The first pocket could be a 3D fold out tree snd the other pockets could be ornaments and gifts for decoration of the tree.
So many ideas snd great inspiration here. Too many for one book
I get beautiful colorful ideas in my head and they never quite make it into reality
You could even use Felt and make a checkers or backgammon board game that is soft and reusable to put into a larger pocket.
I'm thinking an entire Christmas experience could be packed into one package, even lights
To reuse year after year I'd want to package it into a sturdy box to keep it protected and give it a home
Paper dolls and clothes for them. Sorry for the novel
I'd want to make paper dolls of actual family members if I could find a full length image of them. Or just add their face to a different laminated doll
Wow!
Natasha, you asked us if we feel inspired. My answer is... ALWAYS!!!!
Almost a year ago, I took an old photo book and covered the remaining pages in that book which is only 8 pages, and I covered them and then I started adding pockets onto the pages. I stopped due to a creativity block I had at the time. Now I know that I can finish it up since I saw this video of yours.
Awesome!!!! Have fun finishing that project :)
Thank you for this video. I am very inspired by this and the ideas for all the little treats and items that you placed inside the envelopes. I have a fill my stocking swap gift to make that is for a fellow machine embroiderer and now I am thinking that I may take this idea and maker her a small one as a Christmas gift for the swap! If I do I will post it to the Treasure Books Facebook group! I was so touched when I heard about your daughter making her own envelopes alongside you in the craft room! I almost cried! 🤗🥲
Was loving all the nice cute things u put in the pockets. I'm thinking doing for my grandkids..love it
Thank you 😃
Exquisite 💃 Your daughter’s envelopes are the most precious. 😊
Thank you so much :)
I’m in love with this project! Can’t wait to get started.
It is beautiful Natasa, thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
Your daughter is precious!!
I'm inspired..i may even do a one large poster type wirh magnets for fridge and do 12 days of Christmas gifts
That is brilliant! Love it!
I’m definitely inspired and I’ll make something similar with ephemera to gift with a “blank canvas”journal.
Natasa I really feel inspired by that Advent calendar book !! How gorgeous ! I liked that you showed us what to put in the envelopes, certainly great ideas ! I shall make one for… myself like you !! Delightful. Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea. ❤
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Outstanding Tutorial everything is attention to detail love it this is genius and so very unique TFS!!! 🥰😊
Thanks so much 😊
