I love how ecstatic the others are for their teammates. They probably wish they could receive such help too, but all they’re feeling is joy for their friends!!

As a mom who was blessed to send my son To the University of Bridgeport on a full 4-year academic scholarship, I'm so happy for these families. It's such a weight lifted.

This was really sweet and uplifting. I wish all students could get a free bachelor's and these hard working kids could have ownership to their own namesake and profits of their hard work
Should definitely cheaper, but free for everyone would just turn it into another level of high schooling, not elite education as the title these men deserve.
@@Nick-vw1lm Many foreign counties have cheap or outright free college and Germany will even pay for your masters, but even then not everyone has a masters. People would still have to get in, go and do well enough to graduate.
There’s no free lunch. The problem is the university systems are detached from market forces. A degree should only be worth an amount proportional to its earning potential. There’s far too many degrees and departments that are completely useless.
@@JohnJacob56using Germany as an example is ridiculous. The entire world travels to the US for higher education.
Most European countries have free education. As Americans we have been inundated with capitalism and told it's common sense but it is a construct. No reason to represent humans from education all that our system does is deny it to anyone who cannot afford it. Prices for school have more than doubled while the minimum wage goes down. There has been a 300% increase in CEO earnings, but housing for us has gone from 250k to 400k in just four years. America is well past it's golden years and it's people like these folks who have the pull you up by the bootstrap mentality which has been shown to reflect the desire of religious institutions to have more access to the poor than the government. Many countries do things differently and better. We aren't the best and that archaic idea is destroying our future

Here in Europe understanding the value of a scholarship in America for kids to go to college is like winning the lottery it’s insane every person deserves to go to school for free, but it’s great to see the happiness on these guys!

But you guys/Europeans pay a lot more in income tax than people in the USA do. I'm not sure if we still pay more for education, medical, etc... overall though. We probably do. Idk...
@@movingonandup322 Wouldn’t have to if we balanced our budgets the way they do/did too. Maybe if we stopped spending dozens of times more on the military than other countries, giving federal resources to police, and billions in corporate subsidies to thriving industries…our taxes would be plenty to cover Medicare for All and tuition free college and trade schools. Then if you actually taxed the people hoarding wealth and resources, we could tackle practically any problem that requires more resources to fix.
I love it when they cry after being awarded because it shows me they really will cherish and make the best of their scholarship. There are students who take it for granted and fail because they didn't pay for it.
We need more of this kind of news it’s so high vibrational and we all need to know that there is good news going on out in the world 🌎

As much joy as these moments bring, it's still disheartening to know that the vast majority of university students are burdened with debt because our government wants to profit from the education of its citizens. Time to make this free like most other developed countries

@@wilsonryan100 very true, it's funded through taxes. Taxes in Europe aren't crazy. Quite reasonable, actually. And if we wanted to avoid taxing the lower and middle classes we can do what we did in America's most prolific time of growth: tax the wealthy
My cousin never paid anything on her student loan. She got away it
It's free but not like you think. There sre many restrictions. You might not get to study what you want. There are no 4 or 5 year excuses not to work while getting a degree in gender studies.
Schools are profiting. The staff and faculty of the schools make a ton of money. Especially some of the coaches. But those people also pay a ton of taxes from their paycheck. When is enough enough? When is someone’s paycheck too high. When are someone’s taxes enough or too high?

Also one of the most touching aspects is to see the sudden disappearance of race or culture amongst these kids. They are friends and teammates and the amount of joy that they have for each other is a great example of how the rest of the world could be
