In this video I discuss game one of round two between the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers. Everyone seems to think the Canucks are gonna be an easy-out for the Oilers but I believe it's quite the contrary. For some reason, those people don't realize that the Stanley Cup Playoffs are an entirely different beast. The Canucks are gonna take this home in six games (maybe even five) and Ryan Whitney (of the Spittin Chiclets podcast) is going to come on podcast and apologize for being a little baby. In game one, the best player in the world, Connor McDavid didn't even get a shot on goal (for the first time ever), Leon Draisaitl sustained some mysterious injury, Dakota Joshua and Conor Garland teamed up to lead their team to victory, and I crashed my car in celebration. The Vancouver Canucks are good... this is not a surprise at all. đ«Ą

As a long time Canucks fan, I have to admit that I was very tempted to bail out when it was 4-1. But then I remembered three things:
1. Game 4 against Nashville
2. The Vancouver Canucks are good.
3. It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings and I DIDN'T HEAR NO FAT LADY!!!
I wasn't tempted at all. They were playing so good and owning the game.

mcdavid did stated that they held back the last period so played defensively after being known for an offensive team, just like stars that blew a 3-0 lead in game 1 and panthers losing game 1 after a week off. Oilers in 5
i mean when you choke a lead it's 50 50
No team can win having that goaltending in the third period. No team would make it to the Memorial Cup in junior hockey if your goalie canât stop shots from the blue line getting past him. Women goalies donât give up as many soft goals as Skinner does.

This game was one of the best games i have ever seen in my entire life i was literally jumping around my room with my playoff towel when Nikita scored that rocket!
It was a fun game, but I still think the 3-1 comeback against nashville is the greatest game of the playoffs of any team thus far. Truly Magnificient.

Canât speak for everyone but as a Canucks fan myself (who was at last nightâs game), I feel like I bought in Tocâs âsystemâ. Even with us down 4-1 (and my oilers fan friend next to me chirping away) I still had fun watching the game. The entire time we were down I just had this mock convo in my mind:
Reporter: What was said during the intermission?
Nucks players: just stick to our system. We play our brand of hockey and the rest will come.

watching penalty servers try to ignore the green men for the past 20 years NEVER gets old. Sometimes even the penalty servers laugh at those green men lol I think they graduated from the Actor's Studio...pure gold! Best comeback of all time.

Oilers fan here. I don't understand why anyone was doubting the canucks heading into this series. They dominated us in reg season and there was nothing to indicate this was going to be a blowout by the oilers. It actually pissed me off hearing everyone talking sh*t saying it was gonna be a sweep or done in 5. Makes no sense.

Canucks really are good. Even Ć ilovs didn't have the best game (he looked very stressed, like in the first game), the movements were too many and not needed and still he looked a bit slow. Maybe tiredness kicking in. But I believe in Vancouver to out perform the Oilers just by the grit and determination they're showing. You also have to remember that you have all of Latvia supporting Vancouver right nowâ€

Miller's work on McDavid has been nothing short of stellar. Good all season and then we lock him down to his worst playoff performance ever. Our forwards are doing a real good job in the neutral and high defensive zones. Our D barely had to play him. The two examples in the video are great examples of our hustle from defensmen and forwards.
