I think this episode takes place during Christmas 2014 because J.A.R.V.I.S. still exist (just currently shut down for a while) and Wanda is nowhere to be found. And the rough time of the year they're talking about is the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

I don't think this takes place *after* Age of Ultron, but rather *before* the movie. If it were after, then there would have been a stocking for Wanda. It should be just after the events of Winter Soldier.
I agree. It also sounded like he mentioned Iron Man 3 taking place after Age of Ultron and I'm certain it's set before that Avengers film, only just a year after Avengers 1. This is most likely at some point between Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron like you said
Correct. At the end of Iron Man 3, you see Maria Hill getting in position to reactivate the avengers to start cleaning up Hydra, after the winter soldier events. So this would take place right before Age of Ultron, before they had the scepter.

I’m not sure if you mentioned this, but at 16:21 in this video, the payoff about the confetti also has the title let it snow which is a diehard reference. Let it snow is played in both die hard one and two, which are Christmas movies

I think I caught a fun mistake in this episode of What If…
In the end credits of episode 3 (26:56) turn the subtitles on while Kat Dennings is singing her song. Her last audible line is “Happy Holidays” but then the next subtitle says “Make up dumb songs for money.” A subtitle slip? Cleverly left in with subs but no audio? Idk
i'm glad we're not the only ones that caught this! (Emily's always wanting the captions on 😁).... IT's the last Easter Egg in the episode, and very clearly left in there by the writers as a writer's joke, because who's actually looking at the captions right up until the very end? Except Emily 😂🤙

ya know a short while after happy turned i made the Hulk + Happy Hogan = Hulk Hogan connection, but didnt think they'd actually directly say that cuz like ya know, thats a real guy and stuff, but they really did make the reference, i just thought that was nice.
i'm about as certain as certain can be that the writers for the episode were first sitting down to begin writing, and before anyone had come up with anything, someone said, "Wait a minute.... Happy Hogan.... Hulk Hogan! Happy Hogan becomes the Hulk, because.... Hulk Hogan!!" And everyone was like, oh hell yes, and the entire episode was written specifically around Hulk Hogan and how Happy could turn into a Hulk 😂😂

Iron Man 3 happens before Avengers Age of Ultron, right? Iron Man 3 is right after the first Avengers movies, where Tony deals with his 'trauma' of fighting aliens and stuff. Age of Ultron comes after it. So they can know Harley and still have to deal with Ultron.
The purple colouration is the same as the Halk from the Avongers.

Can't believe they introduced the incredible bulk in this what if.
I like the Christmas movie references and jokes but I don't like how they never explained how Hammer broke out of jail. If he could at any point escape, he would've escaped already in the main timeline. Instead he was still there after Ironman 3 when he met Trevor Slattey in jail. Also for a genius inventor Tony doesn't have very good computer security encryption, to the point where a teenager in Spiderman homecoming could've hacked it. Also his main lab with the dangerous hulk blood should've had reinforced doors. I still liked how they brought back a bunch of side characters. It makes the world feel... lived in! Also the part where they reveal they had a costume making department was very funny. A superhero isn't a hero unless they have a costume. Also like the callbacks to all the other AI's Tony had like Friday and Edith. I still think we could've had more scenes where Happy used more of the Avengers stuff, and failing miserably like when he threw that shield in Spiderman Far From Home! It was at the actor's request to play a Hulk parody named the Freak but I'd give anything to see him use Hawkeye's bow to shoot his trick arrows to hilarious effect and especially use one of Ironman's suits. It's amazing how he was in all 3 Ironman movies but never wore or used one of his suits.
