I do like the couple in the books but I have to admit it takes a while to truly love their pairing! Anyways, I have a few more Grishaverse videos lined up: A Kanej moments comp. and Crows one that should be released over the course of the week and weekend!

Eh it's more like two people on opposite sides of war which is different than two people having different social opinions. They're soldiers, and are specifically indoctrinated into believing into prejudice. So of course they're not gonna like eachother at first. Yet, both were open-minded enough to open up to each other.

IKR. I like Malina a LOT more in the showverse than in the book because they actually tried to give them moments. But helink is a million times better than them
And Darklina too! That's because the other's are trying to act chemistry whereas the actors of Nina and Matthias have genuine chemistry.

I have a love-hate relationship with this show because it hardly followed along with the books, but damn if they didn’t do a fantastic job with these characters. The hut scene was so perfect as is Nina’s “immodest” behavior.
So I’ll be over here rewatching their scenes and crying while trying to forget what happens in the book series.
How didnt they follow it? I thought they did somewhat of a good job with the s&b storyline....all but the part where they kept calling the darkling by his name 🙄
@@lovelettevalley I was gonna say the same thing. They stayed much closer to the books then let's say, the Witcher did. The Crows storyline was written as a prequel to their own series, with Leigh's permission and help.

In the bed scene where Nina touches his chest to warm him up, his heart beats faster and faster before he pushes her away, is that because he didn’t want her to know he was starting to like her ?
see, i've watched this scene a few times now, and: he doesn't push her away. he's *holding on to her arm.* that's why matthias gives nina that almost disappointed, slightly guilty look when she takes it away, he liked her touching him, he liked her using her grisha powers to warm him up, and he's ashamed of that. but not so much that he doesn't smile a little to himself when she's turned her back.

And partially because he's still not super comfy with the Small Sciences (he's only allowing her more and more because life and death situation and because he's starting to warm up to her, but it's very conflicting for him)
No id simply say Nina was making his heart pump more blood so that he could stay warm. But on the other scenes he grows more into her.
