    There is this stereotype around self made clothing for having a 'homemade' look. If you'd like to find out realistic ways to elevate the finishing of your next sewing project, checkout this new video.
    Enjoy

    Thanks much for sharing these tips. Although I make bags, these tips apply. Because with bags, sometimes one little mistake means starting all over again. That's why I'm very meticulous. And as a result, people are shocked to find out my bags are homemade and not store bought. My rule is measure as many times and cut once. Another tip I find helpful is washing my fabric before I use it. I find it gives the cloth to let go itself so when it is washed after the product is made, there's little or no change. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

    I'd love a video on bust adjustments for bra, bra top and bra cupped dress patterns. It's my #1 struggle with getting my outfits to look professionally constructed. For myself, I often have to go for a pattern made for a US cup size B/C bust to a US 36DDD/E. Also, thank you for all the great suggestions and educational videos. They've really helped my me-made journey

    So many people want their garments to look ready-made, but I’ll tell you when you get to that level it’s a little disappointing when no one gives you credit for making it

    Hi Kim, I made a princess seam top for the first time and there is extra fabri/fullness on the fullest part of the bust/apex. Can you please suggest what should I do, m

    • @KimDave
      @KimDave  Před 11 měsíci +5

      It seems like there is some extra allowance at the bust apex. I suggest wearing the top and pinning away the excess. Next, turn the blouse inside out and mark along pinned points with a chalk. Sew away the excess on the wrong side of the blouse. Hope this helps.
