Retrax One XR Two Year Review and Channel Update

Hey Guys and welcome back to the Garage. This week's video has been a long time coming. I've had quite a few people reach out for my long term thoughts on this so here they are. I revisit my Retrax One XR bed cover I installed almost two years ago and go over the pros and cons I've experienced since first installing it. Thanks for the review! How does the cover hold up in the rain? Does it leak in normal rain?

Did just fine in the rain. I ran into problems with snow though. When brushing snow off with a brush I found the bristles slightly scratched the surface.

@@HarrisonsGarage going back and forth on the Retrax One vs Pro XR. Sounds like I should maybe save up a bit more to spring for the Pro for some added durability.

@@EthanTripp320 I would. However with my experience with all kinds of bed covers over the years, nothing has beat the backflip

gotcha. ya I'm planning to mount cross bars over the bed (for bikes while towing a trailer) so don't think the backflip would support. open to suggestions tho, given that scenario. thanks for the replies, btw! @@HarrisonsGarage

I noticed your a cyclist, from TT bikes you had on your garage wall. How do you transport your bike with the truck, what bike rack do you use?

I usually just lay them down in the bed. I really find a bed to take 2 bikes at one. That said, if I do have a need I would use a kuat hitch rack.
