Laburnum Natural Edge Bowl - Wood turning

I have turned a small piece of laburnum before, but never anything this substantial. The density and weight of this bowl is very deceptive. A truly beautiful wood, with a rich chocolaty brown colour.

What a lovely bowl. What about the toxicity of the wood? Is it that harmful?

I believe that laburnum is similar to yew, but slightly less toxic. I think that the main issues are around the seeds. Good dust collection and masks when turning, no matter what species the wood is. Thanks for watching 👍
