Your mother had great courage to challenge you to change - you are someone who responds to challenges with strong determination. You had a deep belief in your positive potential and then were 120% committed to overcoming your difficulties. It would be so easy for me to make excuses for myself, tell myself that because my problems vegan later in life than yours and because ive wallowed in shame and pain for 25 years, and because I have let down my loved ones so badly and let down myself worse …. That it is too late for me, that all i can do is wait to die. Easy? It’s what I’ve been doing!!
And there is no excuse at all - You have told your story in an inspiring way and my mission now is to shift my mindset, to stop making excuses and start making amends to myself and my family.

That little light inside its called HOPE. Even if it's just a little flicker ....it just needs a moment to set ablaze. But you needed to go through these life lessons when you reached the next phase in your life - you can look back and say: DAMN I went through all this shit and survived and learned things about myself (I.e Courage, inner strength, ruthless, kindness, gratefulness or even aspects of yourself you don't like etc) and when the next batch of shit hits in your life - YOU KNOW it's going to be difficult, but YOU KNOW YOU WILL OVERCOME IT - just another life lesson to add to your belt...you grow as a person and change....always move forward in life...and that is the secret of life. MOVE FORWARD - your past put you on the map - but it's just the beginning
