AJ is such an interesting dude. Him and Pat are hilarious in two completely different ways and they play so well off each other 😂
Yeah they definitely have the opposites attract factor. Sometimes McAfee can be a bit loud and ecstatic, but it's hard to notice when AJ offsets it with his calm demeanor. The perfect broadcasting duo.
Aj ties the whole thing together it seems like. He’s the bow on top. His humor and his subtitle comments. When aj joins after the first hour the show always seems to pick up speed.

I absolutely love that he adds up the boys every time he brings up The pat mcafee show. Just shows how humble and down to earth he is and that he appreciates the opportunity that he has by teaming up with them.

In wrestling terms, he puts them over. I guarantee you that’s deliberate.
Even the little shit like "Yeah I took criminal justice, I was thinking about maybe being a cop". A lot of younger guys are so sure they are going to go pro and don't give it a thought. Luckily for him though he played 12 years in the league and was paid very well.
McAfee and Hawk (and the boys) are one of the absolute best shows around. Love everything about the PMS. So happy AJ's on 5 days a week.
I don't believe that show would be as big as it is if it wasn't for the pandemic. That time is when I really got into podcasts since I was working from home.

As a lifelong Vikings fan, I am annoyed how much I have come to like AJ. I always respected his game, but did not know he was so intelligent and a good dude. SKOL.
I enjoy that the boys constantly roast him and give him shit but deep down it’s all love.
It's so cool how AJ drives with both feet - one on the gas and one on the brake.
AJ Hawk is just such a good listener alot of hosts are bad at listening. His wife must love him
I never thought I would like and appreciate AJ. Turns out, he's the perfect counter balance to Pat and has a straightforward and almost a cold take type of style. He gives the show a true credibility in a very humble way.
One of the funniest moments happened when AJ was in studio hosting and he knocked over a bunch of stuff on Pats desk. His face was so red and he had Pat on at the time so it made it even funnier
AJ brings a good balance to Pats show.

You can totally see that AJ is comfortable to be himself on the show. He has the kind of reserved but cool personality you just do not usually see in the media, and you can tell it takes some level of comfort to get him to open up and be himself.
This interview is sooo good. Ariel is a fun character on the show and AJ is hilarious. But this is almost a perfect interview. Nailed it

I normally can't stand Ariel but this was a good interview he dropped his normal bullshit and took it serious. It goes a long way to just act like a normal human and be professional.
So grateful AJ fell into media and the PMS. The boys are amazing. Awesome interview.
On the surface AJ just looks and seems like your typical meat head, but the layers layers start to peel back and he's got alot of depth to him. Appreciate him letting us see it.

I didn't start watching Pat McAfee seriously until AJ joined the show.
As a Bears and Michigan fan I hated AJ, but respected his talent and dominance. I started listening to PMS around the same time he became a regular and damn I wish he went to Ann Arbor and came to Chicago even more. Dude was awesome on the field and seems to be a dude off the field.
Hawk is part of our life everyday almost now. That right there is something to be proud of. And this coming from a Bears fan.

AJ is a very real individual who stays true to himself and to the reality of life. He reminds me of another Buckeye, Chris Spielman mostly due to me agreeing with their take on football. Would like to hear AJ do some announcing.
AJ Hawk sounds so much like Rogan sounded 5 years ago when talking about himself.
I love the Mcafee show, life changing stuff. And people might think that sounds stupid but there are times when you go through depressing moments, life can be very depressing. And then some form of fiction or comedy comes along and brings you out of it. 15 plus years it was the show supernatural that brought me out. Now it’s Mcafee.
But wrapping back around, as awesome as Pat and the boys are for me it’s their interaction with AJ that makes it what it is.
I love when something controversial is brought up, and Pat tries to cover it up and Aj is like “what are you talking about Conor,” then it begins lol.
Aj hawk is the kind of person I’d like to actually meet and talk to, no disrespect but I wasn’t his biggest fan or anything while he was playing. Not that I disliked him but he seems like a smart, genuine person

I know AJ won’t see this, but he doesn’t need to waste time with his own show because he IS the Pat McAfee show. I honestly think it would be totally different without his personality. The show is a great mixture of characters. This show is special and everyone knows it. I hope he focuses on the show and doesn’t try and go off on his own.
I agree, Hawk is light the straight guy in a comedy duo. Pat can get off the rails with silly if Hawk is not there.
