Calder Park Off-Street Drags

- Starting off at around 40c, it was a hot start to last week's off-street drags at Calder Park, however as the temperature dropped later in the night some quick times were laid down. The next event at Calder is scheduled for Friday February 9th.

My dad has a white small block Torana and he crashed it at Calder park in the right lane it kept bouncing on the right walk for ages he broke the pistons
that LS s13 is a well engineered car. Out of the box thinking.
I'm pretty sure it was a drift car before they started doing drag, impressive to see it running such quick times

Seeing the car with the cop lights on the roof reminds me of the 2 police drag cars they had back in the late 90s in Qld Cop this and Cop that. Anyone know what happened to those cars?

To think a lot of these cars are doing low 13's which in this day and age, you would think that real street cars would go a lot quicker around the 11's mark really or is it because it was 40 degree day, which is what i suspect ? How many cars have the A/C on while dragging thats what i want to know ?

Those fg f6 running mid 13s. Heck I managed 12.4 in mine stock as a rock and that’s in Queensland where it’s hotter than Africa.

Different tracks, conditions, cars, auto v manual, tyres etc there is a million reasons why they are different
