How to play your Djembe standing with a strap

- I have seen several ways to tie a strap onto your djembe and play it while standing.
This is how I choose to "strap up" and has been most comfortable for me personally.

Thank you so much for taking time to make video. EXACTLY what I needed. I just bought a used remo 18inch djembe and it came with a huge strap like the one you have and I had no idea how to use it. Did a search on CZcams and bam....there you are!! I am a total beginner and 18 inches seems large and heavy to wear on shoulder but previous owner obviously did so hopefully your technique works. Going to try in few minutes and let you know how it worked out. And yes, I already know I should have bought a smaller one and today got me a 12 inch Djembe which has complete different vibe and tone. I am thinking 14 inch is the sweet spot for the key tuned remo mondo. Looks like your drum is 14 inches as well. Peace!!

You took the time to show how it fits in the back as well. I can't wear straps that pull on the back of my neck. It makes me dizzy, but this will work for me. You're awesome.

My handle runs from top to bottom, am I OK to tie on a small loop of cord to make like a horizontal handle at the top? Is this going to stress the tensioning/tuning coords? Great video too, many thanks 👍😊
You should be fine those cords are strong
Where do you get these straps to purchase? I’ve been looking all over at Amazon to see if they are sold there, but cannot find any.
