Imagine giving birth and you got Pazuzu standing next to you and your husband as your personal bodyguard.
Pazuzu isn't as bad as he seems I mean homie guards you from a demon that literally try's to spawn kill you on arrival
Lamashtu is considered one of the earliest vampires in human culture (I know she was a goddess) but she was one of the first examples of a mythological figure to feed off of human blood
@Based_transition_Clocker first, I’m a Christian and I do believe in demons; that being said not every ancient god/demons are in actuality demons
I only knew that the 'Believer' demon was Lamashtu from the end credits of the film (also from Green's comments in interviews).
Personally, I wouldn't have chosen Lamashtu but, I can kind of understand why Green picked her in association with Pazuzu - Blatty initially chose Pazuzu because the demon looked scary [statue] and he wanted a real demon for his story not a made-up one.
I'm not sure why Lamashtu was depicted in the film having horns and wings. Her textual descriptions (regarding her head) vary between dogs, lions and birds of prey - the lion's head was a more predominant choice. (ref: Lamaštu, Walter Farber (c) 1947).
The depiction in the film (and the 3 eyed illustration) looks more like the one from the fantasy roleplaying publisher, Paizo Publishing.
Instead, I think I would have used an entity that was more relative to Haitian vodou (since the story had it's start in Haiti) like Bakalou Baka - once I heard that the film involved two girls go missing in the woods, I thought of him since he dwelled in the woods.
I like where you’re going with it. A Haitian deity would have been 🤌🏾 just cause that’s where the tragedy started
Lamashtu vs Pazuzu is like way before Freddy Vs Jason, Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys, and Alien vs Predator. What if Valak and Malthius (Annabelle) face Lamashtu and Pazuzu? 🤔
Now if they make any sequels I doubt they'll have a demon vs demon conflict and if they do it'd will most likely be lack luster
Clearly you don't know anything for Demons do fight against each other for who wants the more souls.
So the stupendous wave is now the horrendous wave. Congrats
So, who were the demons in the other exorcist films? Did the films primarily focus on Pazuzu or were different demons?
it's interesting how ancient spirits or demons are still being talked about today.
It is NEVER established in The Exorcist that it is Pazuzu that possessed Regan , we as the audience only know its a demon,it never names itself as such or the priests never call it that...
I may he wrongbut I think it was mentioned in the books. The sequels confirmed that it's him.
It was Pazuzu!
This is the female demon called lamashtu pazuzu ex boo thang
Also, ironically in Mesopotamian Mythology Pazuzu actually protected mothers and children from Lamashtu on occasion usually for selfish reasons but it goes to show how the notion of demons being purely evil entities evolved later.
That he did he protected kids & there moms unborn kids 2 4rm lamashtu
IIRC Lamashtu &Pazuzu were lovers once
I can understand why they would disregard the second film but the third one should have STILL been canon. The movie was awesome plus it was actually based off of William Blatty's book, Legion.
wait so there's gonna be a SmackDown in future exorcist movies as pazuzu already showed up in The Exorcist (1973) and now lamasthu is the new demon in The Exorcist Believer (2023) wooooh that's blow my mind 🤯
Damn I didn’t know you made another channel. I heard your voice and immediately my brain went, “star wars” 😂
David Gordon Green has mentioned all the previous Exorcist movies are still canon. Believer just happens to be the direct sequel to the 1973 original plotwise.
quite the oxymoron lol what
Well that makes no sense because Exorscist 2 is still about Regan and Exorcist 3 has Fr. Kerris in it.
@crowbar9566 True, but Believer is just more a direct follow up than 2 and 3 were, at least plot wise.
Let's put it this way: Believer is a sequel to the life of Chris and Regan after Exorcist 2 since that movie is also about them. Exorcist 3 is about the demon involving the people who intervened in Exorcist 1.
omfg…… as soon as I heard the voice.. hello S̶t̶u̶p̶e̶n̶d̶o̶u̶s̶ Wave
Imagine a crossover movie where Lamathsu and Pazuzu fight eachother.
Or anything that Pazuzu basically becomes an antihero in the new Exorcist trilogy.
Shit like this shows just how many people don't understand the first film
@@saintniccage2818 Pazuzu is supposed to be evil, but he's not pure evil. As he protects pregnant women and little children ä.
How did these new demon know by the power Compelled you
Why would they make the demon a whole different entity. It should have been pazuzu cuz the demon knows regan and the mother. Idk the movie could’ve been so good but alas nothing will ever be what they did 50 years ago
Exactly. How would Lamashtu know Chris and Regan?
What resources do you quote this from?
Literally history.
“We strip-mine your underground culture, take the bite out and rinse it clean, give ourselves sales credit for creating it, then sell it back to you
at twice the price.”
So what would happened if two demons fight for eternity well someone has to win but other then the two that are fighting.
I went opening weekend to see believe but I don’t remember seeing or hearing about lamashtu. Maybe that’s a testament to how boring it was imo
Yes they definitely did not name the demon in the film . Maybe they’re saving the revelation until the next movie .
lol @ Believer Directors removing part 3 as canon when Blatty was involved. This movie sucks. The first and Part 3 are the only ones that count.
I feel you but it's rather interesting not that entertaining but interesting.
Seems like there's going to be a punch up between the two.
IT WAS AHFUKING FLOPP !!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Different story, but I thought Tobi being tied to Katy in "Paranormal" was a cool story too.
Providing we get Deceiver.
And these dammed Baptist don’t want us to smoke 💨
Neither were demons actually, they are pagan deities worshipped in their time. They were served by their worshippers using the ancient contract of sacrifice for the answering of prayers.
They were only turned into demons by the Church of England and the Early Roman Catholic Church in order to absorb their worshippers, it was reinforced in the 1960s with the resurgence of Wicca and Paganism. We've all been lied to for thousands of years by a cult that wants your money and devotion.
They were fallen angels, demons, masquerading as gods to men.
The body in the blood 🩸
Evil doesn't go against itself. Jesus said:"Can Satan exorcise Satan?"
It is only against Good! So,Pazuzu and Lamashtu have one common enemy:God!
The Director was garbage to say that he didn't want to show alot of Lamashtu because it wasn't realistic so stupid just like they made a trash Halloween Blumhouse Trilogy when Halloween 2-H20 is better.
H20 is literal dog shit
I guess evil has standards.
I wish this movie didn't exist. I do like certain characters and lamashtu, I just hate the story, writing, dialogue, and tone. James Wan is perfect for the franchise, idk what the hell they were thinking.
That black girl is related to KSI...😂✌🏻
Question: will you cover William Afton in the Five Nights at Freddy's games?
God bless baby Jesus Christ a never ending of trillions of times, I was just wondering if you would know, what the name of, something that would opposite baby Jesus?
Like everything was opposite, the sex was a female, giant, entity, abnormal shape that transforms, into shaples shape, know how a female body would have a gorgeous shape,it would be abnormal and transform into something shaples, shape.... also the energy, opposite of baby Jesus, energy you can feel.
So a baby would be most pure and innocent and loving, and cute, and pure and especially baby Jesus was said to have been the sweetest child, what name, like, almost not even a demon,if it's Satan verses Jesus,as ap baby thu, what type of Satan appearances would that be?
When it's serious like that, what would you call it?
It's not like Jesus commanding demons,or ghosts,or whatever,it was like Jesus sweetest child as a sacrafice, yoooo this nightmare left me super traumatised.
Yooooo, my middle name ' Maria de los Dolores ', they say mother Mary was inconsolable after Jesus crucifixion as an adult, but in my dreams I saw him as a baby ohhhh God most depressing and scariest and clear thu sht I've ever seen.
This nightmare been in the way for me of everything..
In the dream world, I had to let him go, I was like,ok,ok,ok you go in there you go go go go yooo it was serious evil, like he had to save me was the only way.
Also, I had to see him as an animal not even human being.
The worst sequel possible. A disaster. Even worse than his already very bad " Halloween" reboots. That says a lot...
Ni madres! eso es una mamada! nunca dicen algo así ni siquiera hay una pista de ni madres! la película es una basura no la quieras justificar
