- A woman in Ireland has lost a £650,000 pound injury claim after the court discovered she'd taken part in a Christmas tree throwing competition. Kamila Grabska is left pining for better days after some truly incredible photos emerged. Yep it's just as crazy as it sounds. Scroll Deep digs into the wild tale, and asks the question: when is a scam so funny that it should be allowed?

it frustrates me so much to see scams like this because not only does the response to it delegitimize the experience of people with dynamic disabilities (me!), these rare cases also get held up of examples of how the system is 'too easy to scam' meanwhile it's so incredibly difficult for 99% of disabled people to get the smallest most basic benefits that don't even come close to covering living costs
Spot on. I broken my leg and basically can't walk straight and will soon not be able to walk at all. Even tho it is physically visible I still don't get benefits when others lie and scam.
Sometimes you just can’t resist the call of the Christmas tree
Thank you for including the point about invisible disabilities in the end
The underpaid is people not getting money due to fraud. It’s a big deal… people like veterans and the ones who LEGITIMATELY need disability benefits struggle to get them due to fraud. I am a social worker in the US and this is a HUGE problem. It might only be a “small percentage” but it’s still enough that it makes it a huge issue for everyone.
I've been trying for 3 years now. I'd be homeless or worse if it weren't for my family supporting me- I keep being denied for the most horrible reasons, and misunderstandings of what my doctors are telling them.
Just a reminder that disabled people can and do go to water parks. They just might not be able to do all the same things
Clearly the Christmas spirit got to her but JUST for that
I am engaged in benefits fraud
i am engaged in benedict’s fraud
I’m so proud to be subscribed to the only channel on CZcams
I have a feeling she’s a Disney mom. Just a hunch.
I was born and raised in Ireland. I lived here all my life, pushing 60 years, and I have never heard of a christmas tree throwing contest. Not until the news broke about this case. I never knew it was a thing. 😂
i admire the restraint at 0:45
How is this channel not famous yet?
you've very quickly become my favorite youtuber. and I've never had a favorite youtuber. other than coffeezilla.
4:03 great tweet, I thought that exact thing with the waterslide headlines
Should have just took the minimum payout and not claim with greed
Tree
they were christmas trees, Benefits, not cabers. I get that yeah, fraud is a bad thing, but I think I'm on the side of disability!tok 😅
Say hi camp friends!
Kamila Grabska? More like Kamila Grabs-trees-and-throws-them amiright?
Nah, she deffo has a broken back, she fuel the adreniline from the pain into throwing the trees further, thats why she won
🤣🤣
I kinda take offence to the "whitest thing ever" statement, but at the same time I'm quite flattered that someone thinks that I have the inherited, natural urge to just yeet ginormous festive trees for some reason
It is individuals like her who contribute to the high cost of our insurance premiums, so your statement "Do any of us sympathise with insurance companies" is illogical. The insurance companies don't have enough money to spare because it's the ordinary people like Joe Bloggs on the street who pay for those payouts through their premiums.
