I watched Dune 2 right next door to this game. Walked in with just clouds, walked out to 6" of snow on my car 😂 I was so confused why the traffic was still bad, and laughed out loud when I realized they still played the game
That's the parking lot that I slept in my truck at. $10 parking for a nap. $30 ticket for 4 minutes of a game.

People argue about the MLS Season being from March-November but don’t realize that if we had a regular start like the rest of Europe there would be these types of snow games way too often
The schedule should be made so northern teams play their first month/6 week away and the southern teams play at home. People forget SLC is at the same latitude as NYC. They have snowy winters.

Worst game ever. 2 hour delay... came back, watched 4 minutes... delayed again, walked to my truck, took a nap, woke up to heavy snow... figured the game was canceled... found out I slept through the game.

It was empty because of a 2 hour delay and a 3 0 scoreline. Most would not want to sit in blizzard conditions to watch this. Many also could watch on season pass if they have it.@@hustlecrowe9440

I remember playing in this type of snow storm a long time ago when we travelled to Lake Placid from Montreal. It was a game that I never forgot as a 16 year old. 😊.

And people wonder why MLS doesn’t switch to the Euro calendar. This is what you’d be dealing with from October-March in places like SLC, Denver, Minnesota, Chicago, St. Louis, Columbus, Cincinnati, DC, Philly, New York, New England, Montreal, Toronto. Basically half the league. It isn’t feasible. Playing in the elements (whether snow, heat, whatever else) is part of MLS. You can’t just reschedule games whenever the weather isn’t like temperate Spain, France or England because then they’d be playing in summer when it’s like an oven in SLC and then they’d complain about that too.

I practiced with my intramural college team today at the same time this game was going on and it really was something. We had beautiful weather at first and the next thing we knew there was pelting hail. Pretty fun though, I kind of love playing in blizzard conditions.

living in Taiwan I've never really experienced snow. wonder how much it affects the field, or the game in general? like does the field become more slippery? also do players have to change gears to accomodate for the weather midgame?
It can get slippery but another of the time you won't notice it when running. What you will notice is the ball stopping unexpectedly and slide tackles being better
You definitely have to move differently, the ground is softer though, so that is nice. It actually was terribly cold during them game, so it was mostly just dealing with being wet and the ball behaving poorly 😂

Hey j@ck@ss, game was delayed a couple of hours. At 1pm the temp was 35 degrees, wind chill made it feel like 24 degrees. Pull ur head outta ur @ss and you'd know that.
