- In this video, I am fishing in Arizona chasing Giant sunfish with my pals Zach and Jake! We find a few good fish.....and then Zach finds the absolute biggest sunfish I have ever seen! I will go back next year to try to find one like the one Zach caught in this video!
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING! PLEASE LIKE, COMMENT, AND SUBSCRIBE!!! - Sport
Back in the '70's I used to fish at a golf course in Southern California and actually caught a 4 1/2 lb sun fish while fishing largemouth bass. The '70's were so much fun. No politics, no cell phones, no drama. Be safe all...
sounds like a good time to be alive!
It was some great times
Vietnam and nixon don’t count as politics?
Golf course fishing is some of the best fishing there is
The Vietnam War, Kent State, The Munich Olympics massacre, Watergate, The Symbionese Liberation Army, the Arab oil embargo, the Iranian hostage crisis… it seems that our recollection of the 1970’s is quite different. EXCEPT, you nailed the no cellphone thing!
Those fish are another level both in size n colouration. That lake is a crystal gem of a place...
Agreed man, thanks for watching!
Oh my God, what a fish! Bluegill is my fav! I'd crap my shorts if I caught a bluegill that big
Those are huge! Great fishing
That was awesome ty and a beautiful lake. Bring on more videos!!!
Thank you Marg!
WOW, that's some large panfish! I've never caught that big. I bet it's fun though. Beautiful water by the way. Love it! ♥️😁
Thank you Audra!
What an absolute blast. Man the scenery 😍
You guys made it look so easy to catch these guy's. In Wisconsin they only assemble and go crazy for 3-4 days in the spring then almost nothing for the rest of the year. Don't be so modest what a creel!
Incredible! That lake was just unreal with the water clarity and completely insane sunfish!
Thanks Rob!
I catch 31/2 lb blue hill a lot in Sutton lake
@@johnanderson7925 wow! Are they good eating? The little ones up north are great to eat👍🏼
Absolutely amazing. Beautiful fish. 👍
Thanks for watching pal!
What a behemoth!! What another great video Ty love it man!!
Thanks Kris!
Yes Sir, love when you catch those monster brim!
Thanks Grady, they are my favorite!
Those are definitely some NICE bluegills!👌🎣
I use to fish at Ketona Lake in Birmingham, Al where the world record bluegill (5lb+) was caught. 2lbs were the rule not the exception. Nothing yokes 4lb test line like a 2lb+ bull head bream. Top notch Content
Thank you for taking me with you, I was there, and I got my fix
Love these gill and crappie videos probably the most
Thanks John!
What a beautiful smally 👍
Thank you Pal!
Holy cow, big enough to feed a family. I wonder what fishing was like before we came along and built all of our stuff.
Probably worse to be honest, for runoff creates food.
I wonder if a massive 4 lb red ear would be any good?
There are some very old video from Tuna fishery and holy shit those were epic Tuna,s …
Years ago my Dad took us fishing and we ate what we caught. Some places had Red Ear Sunfish. They tasted good and we had sweet corn, tomatoes, and new potatoes. Summer feast
Pretty epic is my guess
That thing was freakishly huge!!! Awesome video as always and tha ks gor sharing!
Thanks for always watching brother!
Great vid! Love your enthusiasm! used to fish an off the beaten path reservoir in N. Ca. when I lived there and we occasionally caught red ears 1 to 1.5 pound and thought they were monsters lol.
haha hey until I came to Havasu I thought that was a monster too!
That is an incredible shellcracker..Great video Ty🤟😎
Thank you brother!
I really love ur videos u help me get better at fishing.
Keep it up
Beautiful watercolor looks amazing
Man, that looks like some fun fishing and great fish.
OMG WHAT A BEAST!!! Absolute football - good job!
Love that! Even released the biggest one! Well done Gentlemen!
I remember catching little ones as a kid. That 4 lb. Bluegill is a monster👍😄
Thank you for watching man!
@@TyPigPatrolit’s not a bluegill, it’s a red ear sunfish. They can get a lot bigger than bluegill.
That is friggin insane!! Possibly one of the coolest fish I've ever seen, esp when I start thinking about how we talk about knowing a good panfish spot if we're catching like 1 lb fish 🤣 that thing was a freak of nature for its species.
No. The record is over 5 lbs. In certain bodies of water they just get huge. Hardly anyone fishes for them.
Thanks jeff, some places i fish were lucky to get a 1/2 lb bluegill, just seeing this one was a real treat!
That's the Holy Grail of sunfish...
agrreed!
Nothing fights like a bull blue gill, great on the table too!
@tomfilipiak3511 absolutely, HUMPHEADS FOREVER!
D A M N ! Thanks for releasing that mini-beast!
Greetings from Oregon. That was a huge bluegill. Great video guys.
Great video yall Lake Havasu 👍😎
Thanks Michael!
That’s huge wow congratulations to y’all brother and GOD BLESS
Thank you very much RR!
This is the third video of yours and how refreshing! Men, catching monster fish, yet not one f-bomb. finally, a video that I can share with the kids, unmuted
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!!
I bet you would absolutely tear em up crickets on a slip float. That's what we use for big gills round here. And all the local bait shops have been getting giant crickets lately if you want them. Never used to be sold by size but they are now. Maybe their coming from all the new cricket farms that have popped up since they want us to eat crickets now😲. Another epic vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏
Interesting, theres no crickets or grashoppers around this lake ....would really like to try them to see if it works!
The biggest bluegill I have ever caught was 10 1/4 " and the biggest redear I have ever caught was 10". But those fish grow faster and bigger down there in the south. I am up here in S.E. Wisconsin. You guys are spoiled. Great vid.
Excellent as always. Hope you hit 500K soon!
Thank you very much LA!
Best eating fish in the water.
Kathy from Wisconsin here. Oh garsh what a sunfish. Love your videos
Thank you Kathleen hope you had a good weekend!
Outstanding Outstanding
Incredible. 👍
Ty you shown us several giant bluegill in your videos. They look like they're puffed out beyond all possibility. I imagine a bluegill like that exploding underwater rather than growing old!
Amazing fishing 👍👍
Wow super awesome video
I love these panfish videos! For small fish they fight so hard. Imagine the fight if they got to be like 12 pounds. Monster panfish are definitely top of my list
agreed man such cool fish, thanks for watching!
Sir,what you have is a goldmine,at 75 years old, caught a lot of fish, including a 52 inch Muskie,a silver Great Lake species up in Canada,a 43 inch northern pike,a 30 inch walleye, but I would rather catch big blue gills red ears, sun fish and perch! What a thrill and taste!I caught my biggest blue gills on crickets,in Illinois,on floats in Lilly pads,or on the bottom with a crawler in the ocqauaquan reservoir in Virginia, all back in the 70 s,in Illinois we were fishing a old strip mine, would give my eye teeth,to catch what your catching!Well my sons and I leave for Canada in 40 days250 miles north of Thunder Bay Ontario, and then back in the fall, one sone is 57,the other 52,been with me fishing and hunting for god almost 50 years!Thomas A.Filipiak Chicago Guy!
What in the actual heck!!! Dang that was HUGE.. another awesome vid.
Thank you Jim!
Massive gills as always in your videos. Awesome netting skills as well in this one.
Gorgeous lake man wow.
Thanks for watching man!
Some nice Fish wow
Great Video.. Wish it was more footage of those Monster Redear 🔥🔥🔥
Ive got a little more footage of em coming up!
I dislike watching people do anything. When watching others unless disabled you are not living. You and the River Certified dude are actually a fresh breath of air. Enjoy your videos. You love your Dad that helps.
WOW!!! That's an amazing catch!!! Just found your page and I'm glad I did!!! Definitely going to subscribe!!! Stay safe out there!!! Tight lines guys!!!

I never fish with anything less than 10lb test line, mostly 10lb test Trilene Clear, X-limp.
7'4", extra fast single piece St. Croix fishing pole, Shimano open face reel.
Great video, fishing trip boys.., Well Done.
👍
That was insane!
Thank you man!
Too cute for words!
Wow those are big and also wow that’s some beautiful waters
Nice video Ty you need to get out on some of these ponds in Texas in your kayak and see where some of the bigger sunfish are.
Those are beautiful fish! 🐟 I have yet to catch a red ear 🙏🏽🙌🏿🎣✌🏿🙏🏽🤙🏿

@@TyPigPatrol Awesome fish For Sure! But, your partner might want to work on Netting them more effectively.
I wanted to go fishing for pan fish after work today but couldn’t because I’m sick. Always happy to watch you slaying them. 👍

You can't hate that, redear and smallies like that. That's a good time and a great day of fishing.
Thank you Dennis!
This is an amazing video, I love seeing the big sunfish! You gotta come down to my pond one time and fish we have some big bluegill, catfish, and bass
Sounds like a pretty epic pond!
Big perch , big small mouth also . cool video !
Thank you Jimmy!
I haven’t even watched yet, but I know it will rock
I appreciate you having that confidence in me haha
Was fishing a small lake in N.C in 82 or 83...using worms and bobbers...My bobber just shot straight down with no nibbling...I've never had a fish fight like this thing did. When I landed him found out it was a Bluegill...and he was massive. We didn't have any way to weigh him, but he was the circumference of a salad plate...and THICK....he had to have weighed 4 pounds +....
what a beast! the bass probably give him their lunch money.
Nice!
Nice video Ty
Thats crazy!
Thanks for checking it out!
3.7 lbs? And I have a 2 acre pond in Alabama, the largest bluegills are 1 lb 6 oz. Maybe a few heavier. I have fishing buddies that LIE all the time about catching monster shellcrackers and bluegill (even bass). I weigh all mine on digital scales! You are amazing!
I worked in Tarrant AL back in the 70’s - 80’s . There is or was a Hardware store there that had a 6-1/4 Blue gill mounted that was caught out of a nearby rock quarry lake.
Keep up the grind
You know I will!
Man , that just makes you want to go out and start Fishing 🐠
Awesome
Thanks Sd!
Use to fish a pond and it was picture perfect. I'm sure you can almost see it. It had giant brim/sunfish/bluegill you could only catch on one side of the pond. Pure blast
I love all kinds of fishing, but nothings beats catching a bunch of big sunfish! Recently moved to Phoenix… gotta check this place out!
agreed man!
Ty you're gonna make me give Kastking one more time. It's been a few years. And if I knew where sunfish like that were, that might be all I ever wanna catch. When they turn sideways and get to kicking that tail like a tuna there's nothing better.
That's a trip I want to book!
Holy damn!!!! Those are massive red ears!!! I’ve never seen any as big as that!! The biggest red ear I caught measure about 13 1/2 inches and about 2 pounds only! Ya made it look so easy!!! Incredible!!!
Thanks for checking it out man, a 2 lber is still a big one!
I am leaving Oregon heading to Havasu for a family get together last week in March maybe I will bring a pole and try it out !! Awesome fish!!
Wow that is just insane!
Thanks 514!
@@TyPigPatrol to be honest most of your fishing content are just so amazing, you have definitely inspired me to start my channel and try to put out some good content!! So thank you very much man!!
Wow!
Blue gill by far is one of the strongest fighting freshwater fish per size.
WOW 🤩
Thanks for watching!
No fishing for me for awhile. I got injured on the job, so I can only be on my feet 15 minutes out of an hour. That was a gigantic sunfish. Nice video, as always.
HOPe you get better soon man, and who says you cant sit while doing some leisurely casting?!
Take a chair or lounge chair.
I said It before and I'll say it again, that lake is on my bucket list!
You gotta try it!
Lake Havasu is one of my favorite places to fish. You should go fish rainbow pools in Groveland California right outside Yosemite. The biggest and prettiest Native rainbow trout you will ever see. You have to do a 20-minute hike but it's so worth it. I travel there from Texas every year because it's that incredible. I fish behind the old sawmill. above rainbow pools. Dig a hole right on the bank and use the native live worms.
Sounds awesome, how big are the rainbows?
WoW! That thing is huge. I once caught a 2lb 2oz bluegill and thought it might be some kind of record but no even close to this
