    Hello sir, hope you are well. I have done my post-graduation on cardiovascular and thoracic surgery and have been working for the last 4 years. I have done my step 1 and soon will write for step 2 . Now I want to pursue fellowship on cardio thoracic surgery in the USA. In the IMG secret portal there are full application package and find job or fellowship , what is the difference between these two services and which option is best for me.Thanks

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  Před 3 měsĂci

      The full application package offers comprehensive assistance, including CV and cover letter support, crafting necessary emails, personalized guidance, and more. Our "Finding Jobs/Fellowships" service is designed to assist you in discovering opportunities that align with your application, accompanied by expert advice. After guiding you toward the most suitable options, you will proceed with the application process independently. Your best option seems to be a full-package

    I am also coming to Canada as an International Medical Graduate (IMG). I am a general practitioner in my home country, where I earn roughly 700 CAD per month, which is not even close enough to make ends meet. The situation is even worse for senior physicians who earn less than I do. This dire reality led me to decide to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. I am determined to pursue my career in medicine, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to have a better life, even if it means working as a security guard. Anything is better than my current situation.
    To be honest, it would have been ideal to secure a job offer before coming to Canada. Since you've lived there longer than I have, do you think that's even possible? Don't you believe getting permanent residency from your home country without much hassle is an advantage given to us just because we are medical professionals? When explaining things, please avoid a pessimistic viewpoint. People seek your advice because they want hope, Cause they already know its tough out there.

    • @IMGSecrets
      @IMGSecrets  Před 29 dny

      To pursue residency in Canada, having PR or citizenship is essential. If you're coming from a country experiencing unrest, your priority might understandably be to move out as soon as possible. However, for other IMGs, moving to Canada without proper planning can significantly impact your career.
      Our advice is based on our experience and knowledge of what's best for IMGs. Whether you approach this with optimism or pessimism is a mindset you carry, but it's crucial to be well-prepared and realistic about the challenges ahead. Remember, planning and preparation can make a big difference in your journey. Good luck.

    I am sorry but the views are extremely norrow (industry specific). As a new immigrant in finance i came to canada without a job but in last 5 years i have slowly moved with in my industry and now just 1 step away from reaching the designation i had back home before immigrating and in terms of income i make far much more than i did back home with my designation. Everyone is focused only on the fact that Canada does not take into consideration our previous experience but what no body talks about is why is it so. Every country has its own set of regulations set in place and canada is no different. If your career requires certain licenses and educational prowess then you will have to go through the process. Talking about my field, back home, anyone could end up being a portfolio manager just on basis of experience but here in canada there are certification to do. If you truely wish to be in your industry and if you aim to achive same or higher desigations than that you had before immigrating, you will need to first get upto speed with the regulations. I know doctors are doctors everywhere but when canada is making their existing people go through a certain process, why should they make exceptions for immigrants. Please dont miss guide people by only showing the hardships, also show what great thing immigrants have achieved. And remember in canada no job is too small. PR is just an entry pass, what you do after depends on how badly you want to see yourself excel in your work.
