Wow I've been looking at these videos over and over with the interviews with Mr. Craig Butler. I was turned off like everybody else at bailey but now I think I understand the angle from which Mr. Butler and his sons are coming from and if it is true that they were speaking on behalf of other potential players.....I understand even more. The country as honestly never offered athletes anything including respect. No one is arguing that Sterling refuses to play for the nation, many say it’s a pleasure to be called up to play for your country while this is accurate if a set player is not comfortable with what the country is currently offering that set player in every right can deny with or without a reason as to why. No athlete owes anything to a set country I’m pretty sure if he decides to play for England everyone would be upset but none of those individuals were present when the work was being put in or have the knowledge of hard the fight was to get to the position a set player being Leon Bailey is currently in, and all this happened without the help of the country. I love Jamaica but it’s time many realized that athletes may represent who they want when they want it’s a Job/Career at the end of the day the decisions they made is never placed upon the people of the nation because at the downfall those same people will turn away I respect Leon’s decision whether or not he represents Jamaica land we love.

Ok I sorta see what Butlers saying! he has a point, and we know he want the youth then fe play for the National team! but besides all that Butler stating a point about the business as usual! in the national program,that most ppl don’t understand the national program,for exams! look at the US Man national soccer program they have a national academy in Florida there they training and development and identify young talent from all over the country to best of there knowledge and get them into the program at a earlier age! then those young player usually go on to represent the US U17 then U20 and there Senior team! they keep close watch on there the young players to see how they are developing! so when Butler said the national program didn’t have lean on there radar through his developing stage! this mean the program fail young player how did they let this one pass them this wasn’t supposed to happen if they was truly interested in identify young talent,and this is one the big reason why Jamaica hasn’t return to a WC since France98! forget about Butler youth dem out a the picture, there lot a young talented Jamaican youth that the program failed if they they was identified young talent from the last WC they wouldn’t be this in mess now! Jamaica last beat young talent was Ricardo gardener he was one of the lucky few that showcases he ability on the world stage! and right after the WC at the time English side Bolton Wonders sign him at age 19 because of one played he did in the World Cup, Yes one ☝️ every important played! but from that time to now! if the national program had thing in place like academy and going around the country and identify young talent from the U12 level up to U17 U20 Jamaica could of have lots a player all over the global playing professional in decent leagues and gaining tuns a experienced that they can bring back to the national team! now it’s good that some ppl in Jamaica trying to help the young player them to give a chance with football, and from what I see with the national program they are not doing much to develop and monitor player, like I said business as usual.. hopefully that can change go forward!

Deco Lard, Butler is a liar. I used to be on his side until some people from youth academies in Europe started going against his lies and exposing them. It made me realize that you can't trust this man. He is manipulative and self serving. All beneath the guise of wanting better for the nation. There are many others who want to help to develop football and are helping much to his surprise without strong arm tactics. The things that have changed have been done without him by others who hate how football is run but are selfless and now he is still acting as if he is owed something. He did not implement any of these programs or academies. Kyle is not good enough to be in the national team. He wants to use the national team to get Kyle a move to a better league by piggy backing on Leon. Why hasn't he been able to get even a contract in the Belgian first division, 2. BUNDESLIGA, 3.LIGA OR EVEN MLS? ALL STRONGER LEAGUES THAN THE MALTESE LEAGUE. When he was on the outside looking in he conplained about how overseas based players were treated differently and it was wrong that they wanted some thinga. Now he is requesting the same things that were wrong then and complaining that he isn't getting it. We need to do more to develop the game but it wasn't long ago Leon Bailey was saying he was too good for the nation team and was backed by Bolt and Craig Butler. He should stay away from the programme. England is his level so go play for England/Belgium.

I have spoken to Craig in person a couple times and if you listen to him i person he would convince you that the world is flat. I used to back him 100% but having seen the selfless work of others without the crazy demands and having read some of the reports from Europe about Craig Butler and his meddling and shadiness I think he is too self serving. Sir Alex Ferguson said something bout 25 years ago that I will never forget. He said when he scouts a young player he never speaks to the father because the father always wants to fulfill his dream through his son/sons and is more likely to make a decision that benefits him as a father.
