That "general" disrespected the uniform he wears and violated the constitution that he took an oath to uphold. If you're a military officer or law enforcement officer you damn well better understand the rights for the citizens you're supposed to be protecting and not violate them. He needs to be stripped of his rank and kicked out.

I'm so glad you covered this case! I live in Dayton, Ohio, and we've all been trying to get the word out about this situation! East Palestine has been abandoned by our federal government and Mr. Lambert was purposely refused access because they knew he would report the truth, not the agenda and reteoric government officials have worked hard to spew. Animals are dying, people are sick, and water and streams are contaminated with a rainbow sheen covering the water while dead fish line the shores. I know there is already 1 diagnosed case of cancer, and it's cancer only related to exposure to the toxins that were spilled and burned from the derailment. The woman diagnosed with cancer also lives about 500 yards from the derailment site. Many townspeople haven't gone home, and a few have been financially able to relocate, but many don't have that option because East Palestine is a lower income community. A whole community, many families are generational residents, have been hung out to dry and financially ruined. Properties have plummeted in value, equity in property is destroyed, and our federal government could care less. While Trump came to visit bringing clean water, resources, and meeting the community and listening to their needs, Biden went to Ukraine. Mr. Lambert experienced governmental corruption at it's finest and here in Ohio, we all know it! Justice for Mr. Lambert!

If it's any comfort, it backfired, because now we know that there is a much worse problem with corruption than we outside the US realised.

I was told some bystanders got me out of the car but they wouldn't give me the names of the people and my injuries were consistent with being in the passenger seat, not driver seat. the incident happened in the first week of October but when New Year's Eve came they still didn't have the blood alcohol results. I knew those results would vindicate me so I kept calling every week or so and eventually they just gave me a number and said I was over the limit. I still to this day have no idea what happened and I almost think that whoever got me out is the one that was responsible! Anyway, everyone has a police story and that was one of mine.

The courts also allowed that a person may resist with equal force to stop being UNLAWFULLY arrested. This ruling has been tested very little since law enforcement usually uses the force necessary to effect an arrest whether lawful or unlawful. When cases come to court and it is found that the arrest was unlawful the courts generally drop all charges. However the courts do not generally prosecute police for these unlawful arrests due to qualified immunity. However with litigation for false arrests the courts have granted awards costing governments thousands if not millions of dollars for their actions.

Arrested, kept from reporting on an important issue, assaulted, put in jail for 5 hours, I'm sure thousands of legal fees paid (that most couldn't or wouldn't pay), then case completely dropped weeks later, and no repercussions for the people that did this. System working as intended!

Are you saying the officers and people in charge were arrested, thrown to the ground and cuffed, and are before a judge, charged with crimes? No, I don't see anything about that.

There’s quite the power struggle going on in the video. I love how the guy got intimidated by the reporter because of how big he is, yet he was the one who caused this whole situation to blow up by putting his hands on the “guy who was so intimidating”. If the reporter (or anyone else for that matter) puts their hand on an officer the way they did the reporter then it would be a felony because he put his hands on an officer. I would seriously consider filing a lawsuit because he was absolutely assaulted and brought to jail.

he was not legally required to leave until the man identifying himself as the building supervisor told him to, just because the cops told him to leave means nothing as they lacked any authority to determine who could and could not be there. the building superintendent was the only person that had the authority to revoke the privilege that was conferred on him. once he was told he was never given the opportunity to leave, but attacked by police and arrested....what sort of tomfoolery is this!?!?!?!?!?

The natural reaction when people grab you is to pull away. It drives me crazy that people are charged with resisting arrest for that. Give them a second to understand what’s happening before you throw people to the ground and charge them with resisting.

Exactly non violent resistance should not be criminalised. Like how some counties won’t charge you for attempting to escape prison (only other acts like damage or violence in the process) as it’s natural to want to escape confinement

    • @erich6860

It is an unnatural thing to have your arms be behind your back, and being shoved around by your arms. You lose balance, you try to adjust to the speed that the person shoving you around is going. It is impossible to not "resist". "You pulled away" or some other line of BS is their way of tacking on charges for annoying them. Police today, are tyrants.

@@unprofessionallyamateur6354 I wouldn’t go that far. To me it comes down to the intent of the person. If they pull away when you grab them. I’m not saying let them go because they want to escape. I’m saying to give them a minute before slamming them down or throwing them around. Unless someone continues to actively fight the arrest or try to get away, pulling away when grabbed shouldn’t be considered resisting.
