Film Disription: In a mysterious universe, the Green Lantern Corps, an elite defense force of peace and justice have existed for centuries. The irony of Sinestro's speech is that he himself is the weakest link, as he betrayed the Corp and became evil
There's a game that takes place after movie's events. And Sinestro is a green lantern there. So... movie's after credits cutscene is non-canon.

Kalyn & Robert It wasn’t great, but it definitely was no slouch. I don’t see everyone’s problem with it, including Ryan Reynolds. If I ever meet him, I’m telling him that I don’t care what everyone else thinks, I love the Green Lantern movie.
Say what you want about this movie... but Michael Clark Duncan and Mark Strong performances as Killowog and Sinestro, are true perfection at its finest.
The main problem this movie had was its villain. They should've gone straight with Sinestro. Mark Strong was pretty good as him and so was Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. The whole Parallax thing should've been just the prelude where Sinestro volunteers to use the yellow ring in order to defeat him but ends up succumbing to the power of fear which then resulted in a fight against Abin Sur.
And yes, use a real suit instead of a CGI one.
Before they could get Sinestro as a villain, they need to introduce him and have him become a 'soulmately brother' figure to Hal. Only then his betrayal to the corp can have more weight and be much more devastating for Hal
Parallax is sort of a secretish character. Not supposed to be like widely known. Just start with a buddy cop deal. Sinestro shows Hal the ropes against some normal villain and at the end have sinestro leave to form the sinestro Corp under influence of parallax from the background, sequel hook.
Green lantern events are like the thanos events of Marvel. They can end up affecting everyone. Parallax being one
What's wrong with the CGI suit? As far as I know the suit is supposed to be made of the same material as the constructs so I can't imagine a suit made of pure energy not being CGI.

This movie had so much potential to be epic but it fell so short but I will give credit where its due, they got Sinestro spot on, he looked and felt like he was ripped from the comics and brought to life into live action. Hopefully we will see a better take on the Green Lantern in the future in a DCEU solo outing

I actually don’t mind the CG suit. Sure it could look better but it looks organic and unique to every character, like part of their muscle structure and when they use the ring, the energy pulses and looks awesome. Great idea, I’d say!
Me too, in my opinion the CGI suit is not bad at all. Sure the design is not everyone cup of tea but with what they can do with that technology at that time, it isn't bad at all.

Just like they gave Deadpool a second chance, they could absolutely give Green Lantern a second chance. The CGI was great. Kilowog looked amazing and he was animated so awesomely.
The thing is deadpool didn't need a second chance his movies and comics are good while green lanterns comics are good but the movie wasnt horrible but not great

Criticism is not the same as hate...
A lot of people have criticism of this movie but that doesn’t mean they hate it, just that there’s a lot of things that’s not as good as it could be.
In fact generally people tend to criticize things they like more then things they hate as it is a lot easier to sit trough and find the flaws in something you like then in something you hate.

I still love this stand-alone DC’s Green Lantern.
Mark strong is so damn good in this scene! And Ryan Reynolds did an excellent job of portraying fear! I was one of the few people that caught this movie in the cinema and it really did have its moments! I just think the mask should not have been animated hahaha

I enjoy Ryan Reynolds in everything he does: R.I.P.D., that one episode of Scrubs, definitely Deadpool and even this movie, loved it when I took my girlfriends to see it in theaters, love it still.
So, what I say next is nothing against him or his talent.

The only things bad about the movie was the choice of villain; (personally think Atrocitus is the way because he is the reason why Hal becomes a lantern), some CGI like the guardians or the mask. The plot wasn’t terrible, but the movie could’ve definitely improved on it.

Green Lantern wasn't a great movie, but it was a good movie. It was a fun movie. But it makes sense. The Batman trilogy was really dark, but Lanterns are supposed to shine a light and drive the darkness away. So this movie works on that premise.
