John, what percentage of items that you review do you get to keep? Also, are these paid out of your own pocket?
@avaldex321 Because not much compares to it... How many companies can say they have a phone out on the market that still offers full support 3 years later?
I loved this phone so much in 2010. I cracked mine in the car door, and I bought another. Then I sold it in Bolivia for $300 after I used it for 2 years.
Do you get to keep the things companies send you for unboxing, or do you have to send them right back?
I had this phone for quite sometime and it was a great phone for what it was back in it’s time..
the blackberry tour was the best phone that i ever had
@vishumzn of course he has to return them, they're only meant for reviewing, when John's done with a phone, it gets sent back and another reviewer gets his hands on it

@coldshot12 ... it should work ... most chargers can be plugged from a 100 to a 240 v outlet .... you may need an adapter couse the holes on the outlets might be different..

RIM have really impressed me with this phone ! Os 6 runs pretty good, the led light and constant email, Facebook etc newsfeed just make it a win . Only down fall is the browser and app store , I give it a 7 out of 10!

@ashwinshankar The pouch doesn't come with the phone, unlike with previous Blackberry devices, but it's available for purchase. You can search amazon and ebay for "blackberry torch leather pocket." There are also invisible full body sheilds that are supposed to protect the entire body from scratches. :-)

ahh whenever i receive a new phone, opening the box slowly is so exciting..and then you see that nice new phone wrapped in the box
when u show something to the camera keep it there for a few seconds for the camera to focus other wise it all blur
@gamecentre07 no it isn't like the iPhone 4.. The blackberry torch only has a 5 MP camera at the back
this reason i like the blackberry torch compared to the bold is that the screen is bigger for web browsing and stuff :)

I have had a chance to setup a few at work and I have to say I'm an iPhone user but I really really like this phone.. The best BB they have put out in a long time. I wouldn't give up my iPhone but if I had to I would look at this for sure

I hope you compare this to the iphone 4 side by side. Not sure which one to get. Orange UK will be getting the Torch mid September so I have a while to decide yet.

@lolmoper Blackberries are phones mainly for emails and texting and such.

Jon what camera did you use? The quality seems to be much worse than normal ;(
It was a nice looking phone for RIM.. but compared to the other smart phones out there they were lacking in some areas.. Not all.. but some key areas..

I have the 9810 which I personally think is a slight upgrade from the 9800, but better than 9860 because of its physical keyboard. Awesome video :D
feels kind of weird JUST getting this phone now, after a whole year.

Hi am getting this phone i was wondering does it have a cord to inport music & videos & pictures into your computer i am not sure if it is this phone but do all blackberries come with the cord? and does it need a memory card to do the videos & the pictures cause my dad had an iphone which is a 2 sim and it need a memory card to do the music & videos :D
