100% agree. All the personnel additions on defense wouldn’t have mattered at all if we hadn’t changed the guy calling the shots. And man have Browns defenders been dishing out shots this season!

If you notice the best plays made from Watson was under Shotgun formation. He played 80% of the time under the gun in Houston. Finally Stefanski is seeing the strenght of Watson.
Facts Deshaun works magic in a spread formation.
Stefanski had Baker under center so he's not used to running a shotgun offense.
Watsons ability to shed tackles and make plays out of nothing is so elite. This man is going to make a lot of people eat their words with him being the true focal point now.
Never seen another player with the ability to break sacks like him. Don't know why or how he is so good at it, but he's clearly still got it.
It's been immaculate, but his decision making in those moments is still sus.

This was my first ever NFL game, and I gotta say I was NOT disappointed. A dominant win by the Browns. I also sat next to a guy who has been going to Browns games since the 50s. He was even at the 1964 championship game where the Browns won. It was an amazing time. I love this sport and I love the NFL. Sooooo freaking happy football season is back!
Watson finally getting his legs and the offense under him. If he keeps playing like this with that Defense the AFC is in trouble.
The Ravens lost to the Colts, Steelers are okay, and the Bengals look ugly. I know it’s early in the season but if Cleveland finishes 3-3 or 4-2 in their division and takes care of business outside of their division especially, they could win the AFC North. Jerome Ford I think is going to be a pretty solid RB and if Kareem Hunt can lead the running game and Ford compliments Hunt, it’ll be like they never lost a beat. Many might forget that Ford was part of that Cincinnati Bearcats team that made the CFP a couple years ago

Amazing, isn't it? Watson doesn't look so terrible when he's not getting crushed a half second after he catches the snap on every single play. How is a guy who has been out of football for two full years supposed to get reacclimated to the speed of the NFL game again when he never even has a chance to get to his second read before he's getting crushed by an opposing pass-rusher? If the O-Line can step up and play like they're getting PAID to play on a weekly basis, then this team has a legit chance of being a real threat in the playoffs...especially with this incredible Jim Schwartz defense playing like they've been playing. They finally had the passing game looking good today. It's ashame its without Chubb but I think it will help Watson make more plays and get to himself. I feel the offense relied too much on Chubb and play calling. Good win!
I mean, Nick Chubb was the focal point. That was always the plan. Smash you in the mouth with Chubb averaging 6 yards a carry and 100 a game. Easier to make less mistakes when you can do that. It's way easier to throw a pick than fumble with Chubb imo. Had he not got hurt we win that game in Pittsburgh running it because he was already dominating.
To your point however, that isn't Deshauns game. He isn't a PA guy first, and we saw it today. Spread offense with an emphasis on quick release and improvisation, what he did best while in Houston.

I think he’s still wiping off the rust as well, this is going to be his first full season he’s played in 3 years. I think he should be fully back to form by 10 games in, then he’ll go off on a tear toward the second half of the season.
