- The Air Raid offense will be the base of what Kliff Kingsbury installs in Washington for the Commanders, even if Kingsbury himself refuses to call his 2024 NFL scheme by the same name as what he learned from Mike Leach. Kingsbury's right, of course, to do so because some of the identifying principles won't be present in Kingsbury's Commanders scheme.
However upon further examination, Logan Paulsen and I explain why the Air Raid isn't actually that different from the West Coast and other NFL offenses, and why melding them together won't be that hard for Kingsbury and his coaches.

Definitely looking forward to seeing more contributions and involvement of our TEs this yr with Ertz and our newly drafted. I think having a dominant TE is so underrated. I loved watching guys like Clint Diddier, Donnie Warren and Doc back in the day. Great TE play is so under played and we haven’t seen it in DC for decades. No disrespect to Chris or Logan who were both great. Just hope that we see a more effective use of this element in our offense.
Our Passing/Running Game will be 50/50 %. Bc 25% of our run Game will be Designed QB Runs..the Other 25% of the therun Game Will be Robinson & Eckeler destroying peoples Bodies.. WE HERE TO RAISE HAIL!!! 🫡

Awesome vid, here is a low hanging fruit oppty for you Craig, make this a series and eventually break down what an Anthony Lynn run game can look like, then look at a possibilities of the almagamation of it all (Brian Johnson, etc )and what that can look like for the offense. Heck then do the defense... I would say use the coordinators and the assistants as a good gauge. Content for the doldrums of the summer lol
Mike leach had a really good interview on NPR a couple years before he died. Extremely smart while also simple at the same time. Its an extremely rare combination. Usually very smart people tend to overthink and over engineer/complicate things.

I don't love that we will be using air raid verbiage. Just because it's the it's like a second language in colleges now. The opposing team is always going to study your verbiage and your play calls but I fear with the air raid it will be so familiar to them, they will hear a check at the line and know exactly what concepts are coming at them.

Just get Brian Robinson more involved. It was frustrating last season to see him only get 10 to 15 touches a game. He is the 2nd or 3rd best offensive player after Terry and maybe Cosmi

It is free! I promise it's not nefarious and I apologize it's not easier. Simple reason is my company let's me post clips on my page, but not full shows. Full shows have to be on their channels. So if there's ever a Take Command clip where you want more, just hit Team 980 or 106.7 The Fan and the full shows are always there as well as in our podcast feed wherever you may listen to pods.
Logan always looks so disgruntled whenever Chris talks. Like bro you were a blocking a TE, your knowledge of which player goes where on certain plays doesnt make your opinion worth more than anyone else's. Football can be broken down into literal X's, O's and arrows, Logan acts like he's a nuclear physicist when he talks to anyone that hasn't been in the NFL

I literally cannot imagine going on someone's page, getting their name wrong as it's staring them in the face, and claiming to be smarter than a guy who played 10 years in the NFL despite being extraordinarily physically limited by NFL standards because he was incredibly smart as you watch their video which was clearly interesting enough to you to click on and watch. Just could not be me 😵💫

Fans wanted a better athlete and I'm sure if coaches tried hard enough they could have found a better blocker but his smarta and dedication always kept him an integral part of the team. Similar to Lichty. In fact the one time I met Logan I told him relay to Kory something to the effect of "no matter how hard we try to replace him, no1 can beat him out" then I threw in some kind of comparison to Jon bostic because I felt a little like a dick for what I said even though it was meant as a compliment....
I don't know if it exists on the Internet but I would love to hear Logan's take on Fred Davis. He was going to be a star. Then he smoked pot a couple times and everything went to crap. Doesn't really add up to me.
