- An aerial view of this famous lighthouse located on the northern tip of Long Beach Island. Built in 1856, this amazing icon proudly stands 163 feet tall, tirelessly guiding ships through the sometimes dangerous inlet.
Great Video.
Thanks Scott, I appreciate the support. Rick
Great video keep it up
Thanks for the comment. Be sure to subscribe to the channel so you don't miss any of the new ones I'll be posting.
+Drone Valley no problem i did before i even watched the video :)
I went last Friday
I wished I lived that close to the big water enjoyed your video and subd : ))
Thanks for the sub. I do like shooting at the coast and still get a little nervous with flying high, very far out over deep water. The footage is cool but I'd hate to lose the drone. I'll have a bunch more clips uploading this week so stay tuned.
Sounds good and safe flight : )
Awesome! Thank you for sharing. 👍 ✌
Thanks!
Great footage and great flying . I live about 45 minutes from there and love the summers. Small world!
.
Nice love the filming of the beautiful landscape.
Thanks for stopping by. This is one of my favorite places to drone and I just happened to have a great day to capture some footage. Thanks for the sub.
How many times did I climb those stairs. Its been 25 years since I've been to LBI. I need to get back and reminisce soon.
Old Barney is still there and standing proud. They do a great job of keeping the lighthouse looking great and I always love flying at that end of the island. Thanks for the post and stop back soon for another clip from LBI very soon. Rick
Amazing!! Great video!!
Thanks for the comment. I'll be heading back there soon for another shoot. I want to try and capture some of the larger ships that use that Inlet for access to the bay. What I like most is you can see just how vulnerable to storms the island is when you're up 300 feet in the air. At ground level the location looks safe but its really only a small spit of land separating the ocean from the bay.
+Drone Valley Very true I agree. I didn't realize how small that pass through was until I got up there.
That's one of the things I love the most about flying a drone, it gives you an entirely different perspective on an area. We were out over the weekend in the Pine Barrens looking for a ranger tower in thick tree cover. I sent the Phantom up through a break in the trees to find it and we knew instantly which way to walk. Very cool. I'll shoot you a note the next time we head to Old Barney and maybe we can film each others drones.
Very smooth and calming video. Great job.
Thanks for the comment, I really enjoy flying there and will do a few more clips around that inlet and the one on the south end of the island as well.
Awesome. Looking forward to seeing them
Well done! Solid flight
Thanks, thats one of my favorite places to fly and I'll be posting more video from there soon.
Beautiful location 😎✌🏼️
Thanks Slayer, its a great location to shoot because of the open bay and ocean that surrounds it. The winds were wild but the P4 stayed steady for some great shots.
Nicely captured, cool lighthouse. Threw you a new Sub.
Thanks for the sub, this is one of my favorite places to fly. We lived near the island as a kid and I can remember climbing to the top of that lighthouse at a very early age and being blown away by the view. Somehow flying the drone around it brought back that feeling and I think I'll be returning again soon to capture a little more of the inlet and surrounding beach. Thanks for the sub and I'll check out your channel as well.
beautiful vid 👌
Thanks buddy, the winds were wild but you couldn't tell it from the steady clip. Had a great day droning on the island.
I didnt know u live in my area.. I wanted to come here, but with my luck.. As soon as I lift off, I guarantee you that a park ranger will standing next to me. Very nice buddy!
Kenny, I'm all over the Northeast. I just found out that the entire island now has a drone ban so if we did the Lighthouse again we'll have to takeoff and land from a boat :) We should find a place to fly that's close to both of us and collaborate on a few clips.

+Drone Valley I agreed!
I'm here because I just finished Atlantis, that long but really, really good a.f. Law & Order: SVU fic. (:
Nice man! Lighthouses never get old, especially from a drone! Sub'd to you already from PhantomPilots :)
That clip I did at Barnegat Light was my favorite so far and my scariest. Being 2000 feet out, 200 feet up over very deep water had me on my toes the whole time I was filming. I love the way it turned out and really enjoyed yours as well. Thanks for the sub and be sure to stop back.
Great vid! If you haven't already, check out the Vertical Studio app. (not a plug) I've had pretty good luck with it doing orbits that would be difficult for me to do manually.
I just hit their webpage and will download it and try it out. I use Litchi occasionally for some of the harder shots but really try and fly most days with the sticks alone so I can master those skills over time. It's tricky to get that perfect rotating shot but I'll get there eventually. Thanks for the post.
Great video . Every body be careful not to fly in Long Beach Township jurisdiction that runs throughout the island . Just Google map Long Beach Township you will see what I mean .
