- this is a video showing an old kerosene lamp with a special reflector that turned it into a spotlight, Old and cool lamp if you ask me.
I don't have much information what this lamp was used for or in what purpose it was designed for but we can guess it was used in some kind of vehicle to light up the road or something like that.
hope you enjoy!

I would love to see this lamp operating. Without having looked at the patent, I'd say that the center rod should probably be the other way round, so that the flat part acts like a flame spreader. If you google circular wick lamps you'll see what I mean. Also, P&A on the burner could refer to Plume & Atwood.
Rat Kindler you and me both :) it was tempting to add oil and light it up but I did not want to do that with this one. If you have a link to the project I would love to see it.
However is the days with this lamp and me over as my lamp is at a museum now so that more can take part of it now
I just Googled this lamp and found a drawing of it being used to illuminate a magic lantern slide projector.
Rat Kindler thank you, I got the link and gonna check it out when I get some free time :)
For Pete's sakes, man....light it!!!!
My grandparents were Hungarian and spoke it 100% in their home. Bolon means ''stupid''.
Another language pitfall....Like the Chevy Nova in Mexico. No va means ''it doesn't go''.
Light it...Please please!
kimmer6 I gonna have to disappoint you here because that is not possible for me anymore since I traded in this lamp to a museum.
The reason I did not light it was to preserve it as there was no oil on the wick anymore and pretty much no smell from it.
But I can agree it was tempting to do it but I did not have the heart to do so
Well, OK. You're off the hook now.
kimmer6 Thanks lol, good to know
I can hear how swedish you are
yes indeed, I am Swedish :)
