- I had this woofer since forever lol, I had two while I grew up but one started to sound really bad and it was not worth fixing back then so I changed both woofers out for new ones and saved this one that was still working good and still have it today, a charming little woofer and it is very very soft in the suspension lol, enjoy

I once had a pair of old Philips speakers which had these kind of woofers in them (gray colored cones though), and a passive radiator.. Very musical speakers with soft bass!
indeed, these woofers had very soft round bass as you say, very musical for their age actually

Thank you! I used this speaker a lot in the past and it did sound great. however did the other one which was a bit different malfunction and sound bad so from there I changed both and kept this one safe

I think this speaker is rated about 25 watts if I remember correct, not the highest rated watts speaker but still very good

Philips never jokes around with their sound system, i found a fake philips speakers that wern't made from philips but made from someone else so i reported that person from disrespecting philips company but this is the real sound from philips that time
My Philips dx 144/61 has the same 20 w woofers😊

@@alabati508 surely. From a standpoint it was probably not meant to be that hifi but considering how simple it is made compared to new speakers it packs a lot for what it is

Ah! I know this! It's the same thing but it has smaller magnet because this is 20w. Mine are 50w. I also have AD8061/W4 but mine have different dustcaps
I seen the same woofer as these but the ones with bigger dust cap is made of rubber and the surround is also flatter and wider making the cone area a bit smaller right

they sound better than a sony how ever my new sony almost sounds like this... but its a great full range speaker
GalaxysmartWiz YT yes it’s a pretty well sounding speaker actually and I used this a lot back in the days too and it had a almost identical speaker in the other box but it differed some from this and that speaker started to sound very bad in the end while this stayed strong
They need to produce good speakers like this again :(

Exakt 4 sånna har jag liggandes, den ända skillnaden är att på mina är korgarna mörkgröna, har också 4 ad0160/t4 diskanter, kanske värt o bygga något? :)
Ja det är ganska bra ljud i dom små rackarna ändå. Kanske ett par lådor med dubbla element i varje hade varit nåt.
Kan vara bra att veta att dom här
Basarna helst vill spela i sluten låda med.
@@Pulverrostmannen Jag misstänkte att de helst skulle vara i slutna lådor, men men det blir ett projekt till sommaren :p just nu sitter två av dom i ett par 66 RH 431 lådor, och eftersom att de är gjorda i plast och låter bra, så kan jag bara tänka mig hur de blir i ett par trälådor :)
Moss man ska inte underskatta plasten i dess original lådor för dom var faktisk rätt stadiga. Men optimala är dom dock inte. Jag hade två såna här element med först men den ena var lite annorlunda och den började spela så himla dåligt med så det slutade med att jag gjorde lite experiment med den och avslutade dess lidande lol

Plasten är rättså stadig ja, men det är mest pga att det är så små lådor (25 liter om jag inte minns helt fel) :p
Btw är det mycket vindoljud i dina basar också? dåligt ventilerad talspole skulle jag gissa på. Fanns det inte nån lyxvariant som löste det problemet?
Moss basen i den här videon har jag kvar och jag tycker inte den har så mycket ljud för sig även open air som många andra basar har även med ventilerad spole med hål i magneten och allt sånt.
Sen hörs ju inte det ljudet när elementet sitter i sin slutna låda och allt blir under tryck. Det är sällan gamla högtalare har mer luftning av spolen än det som läcker igenom Spidern och spalten mellan spole och magneten

philips subwoofer sw3555e how open the box??
usually boxes for speakers like this was completely sealed and glued together. the only way to get the speaker out was to pry off the front grid/cover for the box, as these were both nailed and glued together as well. when you reach the front of the box the speaker is easy to get out losing the screws around it

interesting, the box these speakers were in was rated higher than the element itself but it could be different ways of measure as well, max, rms etc

Back in the days watts was a very relative thing on speakers but even though it is rated that tiny it could play like a boss anyway
This is not 4 watts. It means its 4 ohms. These are 20 watt drivers
