However when it comes to the green glow I prefer to use Corax White (I hate this paint but its all I've got at the mo) and Tesseract glow. As bases go, firstly, haw did you get the crystals, and my favourite method for bases is lately: Corax White + Tesseract glow + Mordant Earth. (The same and still eerie effect can be achieved using Blood for the Blood God in place of the Tesseract glow.)

    • @chrisedwards9543
      @chrisedwards9543 Před 3 lety +1

      to answer your second question: in most cases the metallic primer/base layer is for convenience, but black works just as well. I base my Necrons (Nihilakh dynasty, funnily enough) and Mechanicus forces with black first, and I don't have any problems. Also, something fun you can do with a black base coat is apply a heavy drybrush of silver to the area. It will colour in most of the model/miniature, but leave the black showing in the recesses. Good for a worn/old look.

    Nihilakh ascendant!

  • @boneman-calciumenjoyer8290

    Nihilakh, were those the ones that ignore terrain? Because I need a new dynasty now that GW has gotten rid of Maynarkh and walking through terrain sounds helpful for a melee based necrons force.
    Looks good by the way, I really like your stile Duncan.

    Duncan, do you use black primer before spraying leadbelcher?

      Hi Frank. We used Leadbelcher spray straight onto the plastic. The spray is designed to be a primer. If you don't have Leadbelcher spray then you can use Chaos Black or Mechanicus Standard Grey spray and paint the Leadbelcher over that 😊
