My cat crying cause he can't find me

- Called my cat Trooper to my room, when he jumped on the bed I was under my blankets with just my phone out so I started recording him meowing. He spots me at the end though.
This is my cat Trooper, we got him in 2010. I shot this video back in 2014, and had posted it in 2016 when my phone needed space.
I thought I’d edit this into a comment and the description in case anyone was curious on how we got him.
We don’t really know for sure which breed he is, as him and his litter-mates were found in the middle of a road near our old house 10 years ago. Nearby a puppy/cat mill was shutdown later on, so we believe they were abandoned. They were very friendly when discovered despite having no mother and being very skinny and covered in fleas.
The runt of the group had a enlarged dead eyeball that couldn’t be shut when it closed its eyes. After about a month or two we were able to adopt out the siblings but the runt was very small and that eye was not very appealing to some.
After a vet visit they said that he had a bad infection in his eye that would cause it to eventually burst and kill him. So our family put in some money for a surgery and he came out just fine minus one eye.
I got to name him Trooper and he grew into a big fluffy cat from a kitten that could fit in your hand.
From what we’ve searched on the internet he may be a Turkish Van/Angora, which can a expensive breed to purchase, I think that he and his 3 siblings may have been a failed batch that were thrown out, as they all had patches of white fur in their colour schemes. As the Turkish cat breeds when all white, can sell for very high.
Just this last November (2019), A guest had come over late at night and forgot to lock the front door and shut it fully, that night it was very windy and the front door managed to blow open a bit. Trooper’s litter box is downstairs so when he went to the bathroom he must have seen the door open, so he got curious and ventured outside and we haven’t found him.
If you see new uploads of Trooper, they will be old videos saved on my phone of him.
This October (2020) we got a black kitten, after the house seemed empty without a cat chatting. May post videos of him in the future, after I add some of the remaining videos I have of Trooper.
Update (Dec 2020) Wow! This video has gotten lots of attention.
I unfortunately don’t have any good news to share for Trooper coming home, other people in our area also couldn’t find their lost kitties during these time, We had many posters for him, walked along while calling out for him during the first weeks. Called shelters and Animal control had no luck. Left his litter box outside with food, posted his disappearance in a neighborhood app, offered a reward. Nothing.
And yes Trooper is microchipped and fixed. He would be 10 years old right now. He is 4 years old in the video.
Also we all see the Duck dynasty poster in the background (It’s not framed haha), I do get a chuckle from all the comments on it, it’s either loved or hated. This video was recorded in 2014, at my mothers place in Canada. I don’t live there anymore.
Thank you for all the kind words about Trooper and the condolences, I’m sorry I haven’t been responding to them all.
Some have asked where he went missing to try and help, I thank you for the offers. It was Texas u.s.a.

Trooper has been gone for 4 years now, he went missing in Texas USA.
I moved to Canada in 2022.
I’m afraid with circumstances surrounding his health and my whereabouts, a reunion is probably not in the cards.
I’m happy so many people got to experience him even if it was a handful of moments in the 10 years that I had him.

My cats would do the same. I have 1 male and 1 female. when I watch something on my phone my female cat would just headbutt my phone, especially if I watched this during the day she would.

Aww man, I hope you find him. Losing a pet kills you. I'm Still hurting from losing my old Staffordshire bull terrier, had him since pup, grew up with him. He was 16, almost 17 when he was put to sleep, longest I've cried my entire life, felt like my heart was gonna pop. From 10 I had him, spent every day with him after school, and when I left. I'll never forget the company and laughs he gave me all these long years. R.i.p Vinny, and come home trooper!

I have had my cat Princess for nearly 12 years now (best guess is she is around 17-18 years old), and probably once a month I have an anxiety dream where she gets out and escapes and I can't find her. She is indoor only and I only let her out with standby supervision because she will start exploring. I can only imagine the feeling you all had in trying to locate Trooper. He seems like such a sweet fella. Although it isn't the best outcome, I hope Trooper found another family who loves and supports him even though it would be super messed up for them to not check if he's chipped.
I'm really sad to hear that he is gone. My cat has been missing for a few weeks too, and it's the second cat that i missed. I still havent get over the grief of losing the first one over a year ago.

Literally only new Trooper for like 3 minutes yet I'm still sooo heartbroken to know that he's probably never, ever going to be reunited with you guys...or who knows, missing pets have returned to owners after years, and cats are famous for it. Maybe one day Trooper will return safe and sound...he will. Chances are way higher than 0.

@@daviclemons6910 In some cases, it is. E.g. the Siamese is a very social breed, and unless you have lots of time that you can dedicate to playing or otherwise interacting with them, they need a companion for best quality of life
@@_DeadEnd_ Having two cats won't make them any less lonely, you'll just have double the problem. Just an FYI, I have a cat I raised since a kitten and I'm a studying vet. It would be insane to assume all your animal's loneliness/anxiety would go away by adding another one in the mix. ..well maybe not that insane if you don't actually think about it. Single cats don't always have seperation anxiety. Just majority of owners don't fully train them to be independent (away from them comfortably) - which is possible. It's never advised to double down on an animal just because one seems lonely. Anyone will miss you when you're gone but you just have to provide enough stimulus when you're away for them to be comfortable alone.
Not to mention that a single animal is fairly expensive when caring for them properly. That's double the finances. And should anything happen where the pet may have to be rehomed or whatever, there's two to worry about. There's just so much more than loneliness to worry about here that I won't take the time to mention.
@@raerohan4241 Single cats don't get along easily, adult Siamese being one of the harder breeds. Although, if there's already a pair to adopt, they shouldn't be seperated. Anyone would need to see the idea of double adopting from a logical standpoint.
If a person knows that they are financially sound enough to house more lives then by all means they should be able to adopt as many as they can _afford._ But thinking irrationally and adopting multiple animals for the sake of one's feelings could cause more harm then good. Seperation anxiety is easily reversable without another animal.

I hope you had a wonderful life with your cat. This video is adorable. Cats aren't super affectionate and can be very solitary so it's always wonderful when they look for their human, or visibly miss them. That means he loved you very much and I wish you all the best because of that.

I remember everytime I left my room as a kid my cat who I saved from the street after her owners abandoned her. Would cry all day till I got back from school. Sometimes she cried so much that my mom used to call me to talk to her and the moment she'd hear my voice she'd stop crying and lay near the phone. She passed away unfortunately and man I miss her.
I am sure she had a great life full of love because of you. Bless her

This reminds me of my daughters cat, my daughter had been bullied and her cat sat infront of her room door crying like this for her until she opened the door, she knew her owner was sad. I when I went into her room to make sure she was okay and to baby her a little and her ca was hugging her and she was asleep. Animals really do have this special bond with their owners, Lord I miss our KITKAT🐈

So sorry you lost your Trooper. I also lost a kitty that got out an open door. I looked for her, she came home twice and I almost caught her. A kid scared her away though. I still morn for her and that was 24 years ago. Another kitty we had got out with her but came home. That one Mama Ktty she was named fell off the roof of anotger house I had. She was just a ferral kitten, that the mother was keeping them on the roof I guess away from critters. She was just a little baby we found in the bushes. She had face planted off the roof and had to have her jaw wired and stitched up. I had her for 22 1/2 years. I just had to put her to sleep in January of 2021. I just recently started feeding strays at the apartments I live now. I got in trouble so had to open the door and let them come inside alittle way to eat. I was trying to catch 2 pregnant sisters that were strays another neighbor left when they moved. Unfortunately before I could catch them 1 got hit by a car. I was able to get the other one in I now call Scaredy-Cat. She had 5 babies 2 weeks ago. Their eyes are open and they are under my bed. I moved them out 5 times but Scaredy-Cat insisted on putting them back there no matter how many ways I tried to block ot off. She somehow always found a way to get them under there.
His cry, made me cry. I'm a Huge animal lover. Especially for Cats & Dogs. But I love and care for all Animals, big or small. Like us, they just want Love and Tenderness❤❤❤❤❤
