If you're curious about the stutter in fortnite, I recommend giving Digital Foundry's fortnite lumen video a watch. They managed to interview an Epic employee about it and it was something along the lines of shader precompiling in the lobby not accounting for player skins and cosmetics.
@@User-JT89WA1 It's been an issue for years now. The only "fix" i've found is switching between DX11 and DX12 to see which one runs better. It also seems to tie in a bit with storage speed, so a fast SSD can help.
@@User-JT89WA1 Running it with a 4070 Ti and I also get the FPS drops. The only way to get rid of some of the drops/stutters is to disable Nanite (and therefore also Lumen).
@@User-JT89WA1 Hmm I think you might be CPU bottlenecked.
@@kimhansendk highly doubt this has anything to do with it
Even if was terrible without performance mode, still its impressive how's working with performance mode at 1080p almost like GT 1030 even if it has a lot better theoretical specifications while bandwidth is faster on Intel Xe, CPU strugles ofc and because of that 1080p and 1440p are almost the same, so some kind of advantage intel xe has with 1440p.
Looks way better than console and runs smother
@@rille_vanille4318 it runs better than console but not look as better
It's the drivers faults, they suck.

@@rille_vanille4318 bro doesn't know console uses Intel Core i9-10900K and GeForce RTX 2070 💀
It's funny how my integrated vega 7 graphics can handle 720p medium settings Witcher 3, but it can't run 720p performance mode Fortnite. UE 5 update ruined Fortnite. The stuttering issue is making it unplayable.
Been a while kryzzp since I've seen ur content I'm glad to visit your channel again
Welcome back 😃
🥳🎉Happy New Year Digimoon & Kryzzp,
Hope you both had a Wonderful Christmas & New Year with your family,
I got to go visit my nieces & nephews interstate (about 3200km/2000mi of driving round trip) this year & had we so much fun playing with all the new toys together I didn't get to watch any YT, so I have lots of videos to catch up on.
What a great benchmark this Iris really need some updates on drivers by intel, do benchmarks on gt800(like gt830m) and gt900 laptops maybe have a little performance for gaming XXDD
Never been a Fortnite fan, but since the new UE5 engine has been adopted …… I’m loving the graphics of the game 💪😇🥰at higher settings!
I would check the Windows Power Plan on this one. My son was getting 100+ FPS in Valorant but was still stuttering on his 1600AF in low settings with a 1660 Super. For some reason his Power Plan was power saver causing the clock speed to dip really low periodically. I switch him to balanced and the stuttering was gone.
Yeah the power plan should be at least on Balanced, or even better on High Performance if you don't mind the slightly higher power consumption on idle.
i haven't watched this video yet but it does remind me of when i tried to play fortnite at school with my laptop with intel UHD 620 and on performance mode with low res scaling it usually performs almost 60fps in some areas but it still sucks because it just doesn't stop stuttering all the time, like on my main pc it felt like chapter 4 fixed the stuttering but the other way around on my laptop.
Kryzzp plays Stutternight so we don't have to. You are doing the world a great service.
Hello ZWormz! Can you do another benchmark with the GTX 1080 ti? I'm pretty curious how performable with the new games that came out currently.
I wonder if you put the view distance to a higher value if it would make a difference to the stuttering
I don't remember Fortnite being that terrible on the XE graphics before the change to the unreal engine. This really looks like Intel driver issues.
No way bro my game looks worse
Ur awesome dude, love your videos 💖
Nice video. Sempre acompanhando do Brasil 🙂
eu também, amo os vídeos desse cara hahaha
Studdernite is a good name for fortnite during these times now
Thank you for this request 😊😊 also thank you for correcting the game title 💀💀 epic needs to learn game optimisation

Love your content so much
I have a HP ryzen 5 5500U with radeon graphics. In Fortnite it would drop from 60 fps down to the 40's and often dropped to single digit fps. It had 8 gb of ram and a 512 nvme ssd. I downloaded the AMD x86 tuning utility. Well apparently, HP locked everything down because the tuning utility did not work. The laptop runs at 15 watts and I tried to use the Untility to raise the TDP to 30 watts and it did not change. I added 8 gb of ram giving me 16 gb total. Fortnite stated having more pauses and drops into the single digit fps. I then was looking on youtube and there were videos saying improve your fps from 40 fps to 200 fps. I watched the video that had about 10 steps that mainly involved turning off background processes that were only needed to speed up the boot time and load times. It said when the laptop is turned off that apps and background processes are saved to the ssd to help the laptop boot up faster. So it had me turn off all the background processes and apps being run in the background and the computer did boot a few seconds slower.
But, Fortnite was fixed. The only time I get a pause now is the first time I have jumped from the bus and landed on the ground, the FPS will run from 60 fps down to 30 fps and back up. Then it stops on 60 fps and I play the entire game without any more dips in the fps. The 10 steps worked and I can play Fortnite now. I don't know which video that suggested it could make your fps 10 times faster was the one i followed but I can tell you that there was around 10 steps and you first put the laptop battery in performance mode. Then many of the changes involved turning off background processes. It will tell you that even when you shut your computer completely off it was still saving background processes and apps. So that was the answer for my HP ryzen 5 5500U. Turning off many things that made the computer boot 5 seconds faster and now I can play FORTNITE without fps drops.
Funny, when I chatted with Epic support LAST WEEK they immediately decided I was using an Intel iGPU. I had to explain I had a 3070. This changed his attitude 110%. In the end I ditched support, uninstalled and erased the folders for Epic and Fortnite and then reinstalled both the launcher and Fortnite and it was fine. Sadly this took out my Star Wars and RDRII installs that both ran JUST FINE. It's literally JUST Stutternite.
Now you all know how I play Fortnite. My processor is more or less the exact same i5, but it doesn’t exclude the stutters or DX12 exclusion…
That graph makes the GPU look like it has arrhythmia while going through palpitations pre heart attack!
Stutternite on its full stuttery glory 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is still better than the family laptop from 2011 that I tried to play fortnite with on season 2 and it didn't even load textures and it was a slideshow of 30 fps a minute. Wow
I first played fortnite on 240p with 25FPS, I know your pain lol. Luckily I managed to get a PC in Season 6
@@typicalmountainbiker I got a ps4 slim on season 3! 😃Would not recommend the slim version, anyway have a good day!
A few upgrades to increase fps more. You should upgrade to ryzen 9 7950x and 64gb of ram to get the best out of the most.

The same is happening with AMD. I just upgraded from a 1050ti to RX 6700XT and fortnite ran smoother on the 1050ti. There are some serious optimization issues.
Not wrong with AMD or Fortnite = RX6600 in DX12 = czcams.com/video/_AyGgvLxahM/video.html
I really don't get how a Tiger Lake iGPU (that doesn't support DX12U, sure) isn't allowed to use DX12 in this game.

As a side note, Epic has known Intel iGPUs are all affected by the current patch. And have said nothing to the public. Sorry Tim, I love you brother but truth is truth.
why does mine lag in chapter 5? Can you do a video on it?
Is Dx12 better than Dx11 in terms of stutter?
I'm playing on 11300h, 3050ti, 16gb ram and ssd: I have no stuttering only in performance mode lowest settings (120fps quite locked). Dx 11, Dx 12, medium, high, low, hd textures, no hd textures, dlss, no dlss, terrible stuttering all the time. My old 1650 pc had same problems: stuttering all the time but fine in performance mode.

Like Cyberbug, Fortnite always has been Stutternite.
They made a HUGE mistake biting off more than they could chew, Epic, when implementing all the new Unreal 5.1 tech. They should have rolled it out slowly. It would have been alot more stable. Live and learn.
