- Matt's Country - Episode 19 Tricks I learned while rebuilding the HW30S. Which order to put things back in. How best to align the barrel pins. How to compress the spring without a clamp. How to put the trigger back in. Turns out not all Weihrauch springers are the same! Hope it helps you.
Excellent info Matt
Glad it was helpful. Thank you for saying so!!
Something I've found useful for reassembling mechanical things is to remember to take plenty of photos as I disassemble them and to be organised with the screws and small parts by keeping them in labelled trays, polythene bags etc. The HW30 is an excellent spring air rifle.
I agree fully and I do exactly that...normally.....but this damn CZcams stuff needs recording on my mobile and I don't have another camera. So you get to see me make a total fool of myself without photos :) Zip lock bags are good. Magnetic trays make me happy too
Thanks for sharing!
It’s helpful for me 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful! And thank you for saying so
Nice one. 😁👍
Thank you Alan
5:43 I thought installing the spring would be easier - but doesn’t seem so bad. Thanks
Why didn’t you install the spring before you put the barrel on? You took the barrel off in the first video, then removed the cocking spring. You put the barrel on, had to push against an outside wall to compress the spring. Why not compress the spring without the barrel on, then install the barrel?
Just finished my R7 dismantle and clean. All went well - thanks for the video.
Glad you got yours done. I have tried both ways for spring/barrel refit and to be very honest...whatever happens in my mind, is what happens ! One thing you can get for some Weirauch's is a quick release cocking link pin and I think that would be super helpful as the cocking link can be a royal pain in the arse when it's still linked
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌😎😎😎😎
Cheers Alan. Glad you enjoyed it
