  • Jet boat from Hammer Creek to Corn Creek on the Salmon River in Idaho. This is about 140 miles. Flow about 22,000 CFS on the White Bird gauge. This flow is ~good for noobs: rocks are mostly covered, and the waves aren't too big.

      I was working at a gas station in '77. 57 cents for "regular" (leaded) pump gas. Unleaded had its own hose, and nobody had thought of ethanol yet.

    Looks like it was a great trip.
    Thanks for the video.
    Quick question how do you folks keep your aluminum diamond plate clean on your boat?

    That looks like an awesome trip. Was it a club trip?

    Would a 21’ Duckworth with 340hp 351 and a stock 212 be appropriate for these runs? I’m a nooby, of course.

      A noob with a 21' Phantom 350 with 212 and 2.4 impeller has run almost everything shown on my channel. Subsequently he acquired an 18' Riddle with 200 hp sport jet and has run everything with that. As a complete noob I ran everything with a 22' Clusterweld 460 Berkeley. It is important to have aptitude for identifying and avoiding hazards. To determine whether you have this aptitude or can acquire it requires... running the river. This in turn requires... dent tolerance.

      He’s selling it what do you think about the hours on it?

    • @idahoviking
      @idahoviking  Před 13 dny +1

      @@stephenkent767 I semi-arbitrarily convert boat hours to equivalent truck mileage via the psuedo-arbitrary equation miles = hrs x (100 miles/hr). So 600 boat hours = 60,000 truck miles. Many boat engines run thousands of hours w/o rebuild. So I wouldn't be bothered by 600 hours. But generally, excess caution is always advised when buying any boat, new or used.
