I loved the movie…the whole vibe and how the story was narrated in an Indian context with the whole Anglo-Indian background was great!! Zoya and the kids have done a great job. It’s really sad to see how negative media and comments had an impact on the movie even before it was released. The same happened to Aamir Khan’s version of the Forrest Gump (LSC), didn’t it?? I feel this interview and many such interviews should have happened even before the movie released, in fact even before the movie was announced. The kids are so humble, so driven, this side should have been shown to the audiences and the bond should have been built even before the movie. Ppl view these kids through Instagram, and paps clicking pictures, they don’t get to see the real person and thus judgements are made and a certain character-ism is built around them specially since they are star kids. Look at Sara Ali Khan, Jhanvi Kapoor, now Agastya…even Ananya Pandey…they all want the audiences to connect with them in a genuine way. These kinds of interviews which have some serious conversations show who they actually are minus the money, the fame, the spotlights they have inherited!
Other people don’t get as many chances. That’s sad. It’s okay for star kids to get part in a movie as long as there is space for others too. The problem is there are so many of them now, they all take up the main roles. Plus it’s not like earlier when having someone known would give you an entry point, you keep getting movies until you learn how to act. That is by no means right!
Sara Ali khan has been acting poorly in all her movies so far but still keeps getting roles!
