You appear to be young, so please do your homework. Back in the 1980's an innovated coach named Bill Walsh for the 49ers developed a dual threat offense called The West Coast Offense. Their running back became a dual wide receiver/running back position player. And he became the first player to RUN and CATCH for over a 1000 yards in a season. That players name was Roger Craig. Look him up, he used to kill my favorite team at the time, the N.Y. Giants.
I guess you never heard of Marshall Faulk he lined up as wr and did work one of only 5 rd to have over 1000’s rushing and receiving yards in the same season
Old guy here. I have to disagree with you. Could he have benefitted from more receiving? Yes. However, his lower overall total was probably due to a combination of huge expectations and a lack of running opportunities where he played. He was on teams with great passers in "pass-heavy" offenses with the likes of Drew Brees and others. Also, Walter Payton was the greatest all-time receiver among running backs but why use him or Bush much when you have faster and better receivers? Reggie Bush was NOT an NFL bust by any measure. He had a respectable career. I thought he would have more yards but he should still be remembered for his successes.
Enjoy your content sir… But, yes a but… Before Bush, before LT… There was a man Roger Craig, first RB ever to rush for 1K and Receive for 1K, look into him…
Bro have you never hearf of Roger Craig or Marshall Faulk. You also dont explain why was he alao a bust running between the tackles as a traditional back. And dont blame it on size, Barry Sanders could do it hell even Warrick Dunn right before Barry.
I think it's really funny to see a video titled that, for a guy who's arguably one of the best college football players ever and had a 10-year NFL career and is in an NFL organization's Hall of Fame. I just think it's messed up we live in a world where all of that isn't successful because why he is in the Hall of famer? Smfh
He's in the Saints ring of honor which is great, but going from possibly the greatest CFB player ever to just a solid role guy in the NFL is a jump in the wrong direction. It's like Clowney or Herschel Walker, sure they were good in the pros, but not dominant which is still a disappointment
there definitely was a thing as recieving backs marshall faulk and LT did it just fine. i could even go 80s and mention roger craig. i just think bush got drafted by the wrong team. deuce mcallister was a threat and a pro-bowling 2x all pro back when bush got there. they tried to force bush into this every other down back that was a part time receiver. reggie showed he could be a 1000 yard back maybe even more if his developement wasnt hindered so bad in NO. who prefered to let brees sling the damn ball 50-60x a game. once he went to miami his first 3 seasons there he showed what he couldve been. this is a tale of being drafted wrong not wasted potential. btw man lol your age in this video is showing brotha. just educate yourself abit before putting out vids like this. its coming off as uneducated on the topic.
Reggie wasnt the first. Go look up Marshall Faulk.

I thought Bush had a pretty good NFL career w Miami & New Orleans. Played a big role in New Orleans first Superbowl victory
He got 1k rushing on the lions too
He helped win a Championship on NO and balled out in Miami
I didn’t say he wasn’t good I said he had higher potential that could have been used
