    Just curious, does anyone use Mari for its superior projection compared to Substance in a combined workflow?

    Hi there, Thanks so much for the awesome videos! These are amazing. One quick question. I cant seem to find the radio node in mari? is that some sort of plug in or something?

  • @alistairdarby
    @alistairdarby Před 3 lety

    Hi,
    I’ve been using Mari for 9 years but not tried the node graph yet. I’m Curious, do you use the radio transmitter from the diffuse graph to derive your roughness map from? (So when I’m doing a roughness map, in the layers window, usually I’d do a full copy/paste and change values/desaturate, but it seems like you could just use the radio transmitter and then mask areas that you want to change)
    Thanks! Great tutorial

    • @ArtruismDigital
      @ArtruismDigital  Před 3 lety

      Yes you can use radio transmitter to link anything into another channel. In the layer system we use sharing layers to do that so it doesn't take more space.

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge of Mari. I don't understand why but I don't see the Radio transmiter node. When I search with TAB it is not there ... And it is not in the right click. I have the latest version of Mari. Is it a plugin or an Addon of the software?

    • @ArtruismDigital
      @ArtruismDigital  Před 4 lety

      I think it's part of Mari extension pack. Can buy it on Gumroad.
