  • Reviewing the Lenovo Tab Extreme, a 14.5-inch Android tablet with Precision Pen stylus and optional keyboard dock. I've been testing the Lenovo Tab Extreme for a week now and here's my verdict - is this one of the best multi-tasking devices of 2023?
    It's certainly one of the biggest, and my review sample came with a stylus and folio case bundled. If you want the keyboard you're going to have to pay extra. Still, the Lenovo Tab Extreme is certainly a solid option for entertainment as well as creators and workers. That mighty OLED screen and JBL speaker arrangement means movies look and sound fantastic. Plus the Lenovo Tab Extreme's display is ideal for working in lots of apps and editing on the fly.
    Battery life is among the very best of any tablet I've tested in recent times. You can stretch to a couple of days on one charge if you don't go too crazy. Performance is satisfactory also although I did see some slowdown on the Lenovo Tab Extreme when running lots of apps.
    So are you tempted by this enormous 2023 tab? Let us know your thoughts below!

      @AdrianMurray how does it blow the s8 ultra out of the water? Just curious, I couldn't give up dex. I think the lenovo is great but just curious on your thoughts why? It's very similar.

    • @AdrianMurray
      @AdrianMurray Před rokem +9

      @@adminuser5312 I think it does some things extremely well! I have the IPad Pro M2, S8 Ultra, and the Tab S7, and Lenovo has taken all the things I like about those tablets and placed them in the Tab Extreme. For example: I like Apples Magic Keyboard and but I also like the flexibility of the keyboard covers from samsung. Lenovo took the Magic Keyboard design and added a feature where you can take the tablet of and use it by itself still having a stand on the back. I believe the keyboard and it's functions add greatly to my feelings on this tablet. The power button fingerprint scanner in the S7 is so convient and works much better than the on screen fingerprint scanner. Lenovo added the power button scanner, but still has face unlock. The processor is snappy, multi tasking is a beast, and the screen is gorgeous. It does not have a Dex like feature but it does have an adequate extended display feature that models a desktop like experience so I haven't felt like I've missed Dex that much yet. ONE MAJOR FEATURE THAT TRUMPS ANY TABLET RIGHT NOW IS IT'S DISPLAY IN FEATURE. I CAN CONNECT MY S22 ULTRA TO THIS TABLET AND TURN IT INTO DEX IF I WANT, OR MY COMPUTER, OR MY ROG ALLY. THAT FEATURE ALONE SETS IT HIGHT AND ABOVE THE REST.

    • @AdrianMurray
      @AdrianMurray Před rokem +5

      @@kaiichinose9590 On the surface they are similar but as I am digging deeper into the tablet I am seeing so many other things about it that set it apart. I'll start with the main feature that drew me to it which is the display in port. That means I can turn this tablet in to an extended monitor and use it with my laptop, Rog Ally, or my S22 Ultra (Which I use the Tab Extreme to run Dex). I also love Dex and I live by dex. But I mostly use Dex when I am casting it to my TV or using it with another monitor. Tab Extreme has an extended monitor feature that does have a desktop like feel to it. When I connect it to my TV I do think it gets the job done with being able to use the tablet and desktop mode seperately. If you use Dex solely on your tablet you may miss it but the Tab Extreme is a beast for multi tasking. The processor is really snapyy, refresh rate can be in adaptive mode or set to 120hz. The keyboard case is so dope because it comes the best of apple's magic keyboard and SAMSUNG'S keyboard cases. I think if you don't get the keyboard case you may miss out on some of the dope features it brings to the experience. And I can't leave out the value, I got this for $1,070 with the pen and the keyboard case. Much less than what I paid for with the S8 Ultra or my IPad Pro M2.

    I only have one question, really hoping you answer: is the software capable of playing multiple audio/video at the same time? Eg: Spotify and a CZcams video? By default Android doesn't allow this but like Samsung for example has a mod you can install that does it so I'm hoping this one does too.
    Also, why with the rear facing camera being really awesome? Such a waste of resources, I'd rather have a second front facing like who is using a 14"tablets rear camera?

    Love seeing more Android tablets. The problem with this tablet is it's direct competitor is the Samsung Tab S9 Ultra - You get that huge display, AND a top of the line processor along with Samsung quality and accessories. Lenovo can only do well with this if it's at a massive discount. I don't see that happening so It will probably not sell well. Like what is the reason to spend a ALOT of money on this instead of the Samsung? Lenovo going to have to ask themselves that because I just saw the UK pricing and it isn't cheap LOL

    Obviously, w/o any case, it charges via one of the USB-C ports, but how does it charge w/ a Lenovo case? (the iPad Pro 12.9 w/ Magic Keyboard Case has the option to charge via the case magnetic connector, meaning you can charge the iPad by merely placing it onto the case - very important for those of us concerned about wearing out a USB-C port everyday just to charge)
