- ( www.TFLcar.com ) Every-so-often a special car comes along that will be a classic in forty years. The Mach 1 Mustang comes to mind as the original Cuda. You can now add 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe to that list of very special cars.
I recently bought a 2011 V Coupe. I'm 6'7" and have plenty of room. My car has no sunroof and that likely helps, but it's definitely roomy enough. My previous car was a 2008 Z06 Vette. That car had acceptable room but this car has more room, more luxury, and nearly the same performance. Great review for an awesome car.
you did exactly what my boss did, go from vette to a cts v and much prefers the CTS and has the stage 2 and manual transmission , i drove it and man she is fun to drive compare to my base cts
@oLdSkOoLkisS I think I got a dud CTS-V from the press fleet (at least seat wise). After I returned the car they took it to the dealership to get fixed and ended up taking it out of the fleet. BTW The Recaro seats are the only ones you can get with the V.

Love the CTS coupe! As a ski towner I need AWD. Looks like it'll be the 3.6 CTS4 for me.
At 1:30 in this video, Roman says to watch the speedometer. I say watch the fuel gauge. I swear I saw it move!
Jack Fenton I think I saw it too; the reason for this being that when you accelerate you economy goes to 0 mpg I had the CTS and would watch insta Econ drop to 0 any time you would accelerate

@Ethanovich11 Sure does have those windows. I think the bigger winter issue might be the 556 hp on summer tires in the snow ;-)
@Emil1787. I understand to a certain degree. The Lexus IS-f is very eye-catching with its sweeping lines but there isn't a WHOLE lot that sets a C63 AMG apart from a standard C class. It has a slightly lower stance, wider rubber, bigger brakes, bigger rims and usually some sort of a graphite color on the rims (which does look really good). But side by side with a standard C class there isn't a TON that's different when you compare it to differences between a CTS with a CTS-v.
@theredderbaron Ouch, and BTW we have tested a Lambo at the factory in Italy however sadly we could not find an Italian kid on a tricycle to race so we had to settle for a 120 plus MPH drive with their test drive Valentino Balboni. And it was indeed pretty "neat-o"
My fav. Car of 2011....I hope to get one by the end of 2012 respectivley, that is unless caddy improves on it.
@Emil1787. Except that the only competition in those that you name is the Merc C63 AMG. People buy this for a few things I believe (although I personally prefer the sedan). 1. You can get this in a MANUAL gearbox (vs no manual at all in an IS-f or any Merc-Benz AMG). 2. It's American (I prefer American cars for the ease of maintenance and the low cost of keeping it in good shape). 3. It's bold appearance on the road (it is VERY eye-catching; the IS-f is the only one that comes close to it).
think in gonna sell my C5 ZO6 for one. the coup is nasty looking! a cold air intake tune pulley upgrade and headers and you got over 600 HP easily compared to the stock 556. a nice set of nitto drag radials and I think you can definitely hit a mid to high ten second quarter for sure. 6 SPD is a must for me in this car. a 600 HP caddy with a 6 SPD !!!!! love the idea!

@greenlover741 You can get in manual, but actually the auto performs better because of the computer in it. But if you like the fun of shifting then get one manual.
It's pretty tight and I can't stand when my hair is constantly touching the roof. I didn't have the problem in the sedan or wagon I believe if I recall.

So does this car have the doors where the window goes down about an inch when you open the door then goes up once the door in closed? (like the aston martin rapide) If so, I wonder how it would work if you had this car parked outside in the winter. I have problems with my doors and windows freezing shut. I cant imagine what it would do to this car if it happened.

I just test drove a CTS-v coupe with a sunroof, and my head was touching the roof. I am 6'6"

With all due respect Roman...I have to say, I completely disagree with you on this one. I mean yes, I do like the CTS-V brand, but why pay $5,000 more on a car that doesn't go any faster, or handle better than its sedan counterpart, which is also just as stylish on the exterior and interior? Because for $70,000, you can get a Z06, which will be faster, better handling, and more dramatic than the CTS-V Coupe. I know the Z06 is not as luxurious, but the CTS-V Coupe doesn't justify its price well.

All-American DROP-DEAD SEXY!!! If CTS-V had a three-pointed star or a blue & white roundel emblem plastered on it, you nay-sayers would be pissing yourselves. It's easy to be an armchair test driver, something else to actually take the wheel. The handling and braking are faultless. If 556 hp isn't enough, Hennessey offers up to 700. If all this still isn't enough, you deserve to be fucked in the wallet by a german. Assume the position!!!

@romanmicagearguy Sorry man I know I was a bit harsh but this could have been a lot better. I have driven just about anything you can think of and as a car enthusiast I feel that you didn't even touch on anything that would be important to someone looking into a car like this. That's great that you know it goes fast, so do we but you didn't state even one spec, you didn't open anything, and the only details were about the door handles. Just disappointing considering the privilege you have.
