  • ALCHEMY: A Multicenter, Prospective Clinical Study by Innvolution on Eternia - Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System
We are pleased to introduce "ALCHEMY," a real-world, all-comers, multicenter clinical study designed to assess the safety and performance of the Eternia - Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System (EEECSS-Eternia) when implanted as a standard clinical practice in India. Dr. Upendra Kaul serves as the principal investigator, leading the initiative.
The study aims to enroll 1000 patients, focusing on evaluating the safety and efficacy of the Eternia stents. Notably, in 200 patients, angiographic assessments will be conducted at 9 months, and imaging procedures, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), will be performed in 50 patients at the 9-month mark. This extensive research will take place across 30 centers in India, with the inaugural procedure performed by Dr. Kaul on November 20th at Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre.
"I had the opportunity to use the Eternia stent in a multicenter registry, not only observing its acute performance but also conducting long-term follow-ups through angiograms and intravascular imaging. Our first patient, a 50-year-old woman with a densely calcified right coronary artery, underwent successful dilation and deployment of three Eternia stents. I encourage my colleagues to participate in this registry, as it will make a significant contribution to the field of science regarding this stent made in our country."
