    Louder for those in the back: This room is potent. The Lecture hall is required by every single course at some point, so boosting your lecture hall game will improve your learning across the board. Boasting an 86% bonus to learning speed before factoring in the professor's skill, this room will help your students keep their grades up. While expensive, I also offer a cheaper version that can easily be upgraded once the cash starts flowing in.

    Personally I like to make one 24 or 36 seat lecture hall just for the movie nights. The 8 student cap only applies during classes.

    A really good tip I learned off the back of this 8 person capacity is to alter the student intake per course into increments of 8. This means you'll end up with fewer total classes, ergo fewer lecture halls needed

      I'm going to be doing a big rundown on the rule of 8, class structuring and minimizing excess rooms/teachers. I'm waiting for the devs to release a patch to address some of the scheduler oddities that can sometimes thwart one's attempts at optimization.

      @@Pinstar I had been starting every campus with 2 levels of 1 course for a total of 15 students. I thought that was close enough to the rule of 8 to be reasonably efficient while also maximizing the initial number of students who pay rent and tuition. Is this not the best way to begin?

    I don’t think the surround sound speakers give any more learning power when you hit 4 or 5. I forgot the exact number. Diminishing return effect.

  • @EliteGi
    @EliteGi Před 2 lety +2

    I've done a very similar thing with my training rooms. I pop two of the training hubs in there, level them up to level III and pop loads of the bonus training items in there and suddenly I can speed run training my staff all the way up :D

  • @ladyp3531
    @ladyp3531 Před 2 lety +6

    Has anyone else experienced the game asking for too many lecture halls?? It seems to be when I designate the halls to be for a specific class. If I undesignate them it doesn’t stop. It’s actually game breaking.

    • @Pinstar
      @Pinstar  Před 2 lety +9

      There is a current bug with how the auto-scheduler works that makes it make sub-optimal choices sometimes when it comes to assigning classes to rooms and professors where it will get sloppy and require an extra room or an extra professor. This is more likely to crop up the more subjects you teach in your campus. The devs are aware of this and are working on a patch.
      One of my future video topics will be on how to maximize the use of your rooms/teachers to minimize the need for new construction and additional hires, but that's on hold until the devs get the patch out.

    They put a cap on the booster items, you're not getting the full bonus from what is put in here, we can take a few of the items out and still have 20% boost

    Oh nice I didn't know the effect of the speakers stack. It really helps out to have a really good high boosting lectern and is probably something I focus on before upgrading the special course rooms. Also putting posters/painting right at the lecture seating is something I missed :D

    • @rodh1404
      @rodh1404 Před 2 lety

      The speakers don't stack by much. With the basic lectern, 6 of them add +10%, and the full 8 still only add +10%. With the fully upgraded lectern, 6 of them add 8%, with the full 8 adding 9%. At a cost of $4,000 per speaker, I think they're just not worth it.

  • @nategar412

    This is still a great build when you have the money, but spammed items suffer from stat boosting decay just like they do from prestige decay. The 8th speaker only provides a 1% bonus, not 4%, for instance.

    • @rodh1404
      @rodh1404 Před 2 lety

      I tested it just a moment ago. With a fresh build Lecture Theatre, 6 of the speakers plus the three autocues give +22%. When I add 2 more, it's still +22%. A fully upgraded Lectern adds 50% by itself. With 3 autocues, it's +61%. Add 6 speakers and it gets to +69%. All 8 gets it to +70%. Personally, I think adding the Autocues is worth it, but the speakers just don't add enough given their cost IMO.

    considering alot of levels need AC / heaters your build do not accomodate for them.
    maybe in your next videos build around them aswell :D
    otherwise excellent !

    • @Pinstar
      @Pinstar  Před 2 lety +2

      Most of the time, you can swap in a radiator or AC unit wherever I place a bin. Some (but not all) of the builds can accommodate both the bin and a temperature fixer, but generally speaking, sacrifice the bin if you need a temperature fixer. While my next week's worth of videos are already recorded, I'll try to incorporate the hot/cold versions of rooms going forward.

    I didn't know those learning powers were PER UNIT. Wouldn't that mean, if it was cost effective, spamming the highest learning power item in a room be the most effective?
    Edit: Also, should I ever bother exempting different lectures? Should I ever, say, keep clown classes closer to clown-like activities,such as their classroom and their gentrified library?
